"Thank you [Member Name Removed] for that very nice review. We work very hard, every day, to try and make ALL of our clients as happy as you are. Thank you for your business and kind words!"
"I am sorry the client feels this way about our work. Yes, we did do the sprinkler system and the back yard sod job and as stated in the homeowner’s comment, the yard looked beautiful for months after and like every job we do, we have before and after pictures, and pictures from months later as well. Yes, we had to go back and adjust a few heads, which is typical with any new complete sprinkler system install, to make sure the house and street weren’t getting wet and the lawn was getting plenty of water and from our perspective everything was doing great and looking great. I personally even went out for free a couple times to re-set the sprinkler timer as it had been unplugged for whatever reason, both times by the homeowner. Unfortunately, the homeowners wanted to maintain the sod with fertilizer treatments and regular mowing on their own, so when we finished the job we trusted and hoped that things would be done properly on their end to keep the lawn green and growing. Even though they chose to maintain the yard their selves I wanted to stand by our work and as far as Doug’s Lawn Care or any business would do, we can only make so many free trips to keep the customer happy, especially seeing that everything is done right. Two months later I was still receiving phone calls to go and check on things when every time we went it was a waste of time as the grass was green and sprinklers were fine, almost as if they hired us to do the job and wanted us there at their fingertips throughout the rest of the season which is fine but they agreed to NOT have us maintain the property. When we arrived in the fall to close down the sprinkler system, again it was unplugged and the plug was sitting in a sandwich bag, full of water and I even went out of my way to replace the plug at no cost, again to make my clients happy. We try our best to keep each client happy as each client is a link to a new one, we bent over backwards for them for months, to keep them happy, however I don’t think they will ever be happy with everything we’ve done. If we are not maintaining and fertilizing the lawn and the lawn dies A YEAR LATER, that falls on the client’s lap, not ours. Doug’s Lawn Care wants to see nothing but happy clients and we strive to grow and keep our clients happy for years to come. Again, I am sorry that these clients are not happy and felt the need to write a bad review however, please be honest when writing a review as much of this review is false and as a good business would do, we have everything documented to back up our statement. As any client of mine would agree, I can be reached at any time and we would never miss 26 messages, phone calls and e-mails. We never discussed removing all of the sod to re-do it again when it was fine every time we went, we never talked about taking a fence down, if we did, we would’ve removed the fence in the first place when we did the sod job. Also, I never spoke to the person writing the comment, only the wife, so it is impossible that “he” hung up on me and I was unprofessional if we’ve never spoke. We did our very best and it all looked fantastic last year and if it was maintained properly it would still look great as all of our other sod jobs do from last year and still look great this year! We appreciate the business from these homeowners and wish them nothing but the best with their lawn. Thank you, Doug"
"The back side of the hemlock bushes could not be treated due to the overgrowth of brush in the neighbors yard. I wasn't upset about how many times you called me it was rather the TIME of night that you were calling me....1:30am is not an appropriate time to call a landscaper, repeatedly! Some people will never be happy, I guess!"
