He did not inform his contractors it was a custom built house so they never called me to work with me and I had my numbers on the wall at all times. He let them do the work as they wanted.  There was not enough supervision.  He omitted things and decreased the size of the room without my approval.  He put  a small 10x10 deck on that I didn't want and couldn't use.  I had to make him put stairs on it.   I called him before the deck was on to tell what I wanted and he said 'we're not at that point yet.'  A couple days later, I went over and the deck was put on already and I never got a call from him or the contractor.  He didn't use experienced professionals.  He used amateurs to cut corners and save money. He omitted a vent in the kitchen.  I wanted a floor vent in the kitchen. I asked the heating company and they said they weren't informed I wanted a vent and it was custom built house. He omitted the linen closet and didn't ask for approval.  I wanted 1500 sq. ft. upstairs and he gave me 1500 sq. ft. total.  I told him not to make the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms too small and he made them too small. My den is smaller than my 2nd bedroom. He assured me the furniture would fit and it didn't. He wants to make all the decisions.  He shouldn't take custom made houses because he doesn't let the buyer approve the decisions - he makes them all himself.  He overcharged me on title insurance.
