Todd did his usual fantastic job (he has done other major work for us as well) on this project. The deck's framing is overbuilt to handle that additional weight of the hardwoods, for example, the footings aren't just cement-filled sonotubes, each of them also has a half-height steel lolly column sunk into the cement to which the joists are lag-bolted. The result is a ROCK SOLID platform.

We're going to be using them shortly. Todd is a high value person. His price is the same as his price in other places. Everything was what we wanted on the roof, the kinds of other things that have to be done in order to fix the roof, etcetera. His price is extremely fair and reasonable. It has been excellent. He's very good. He's pretty much an all around type of guy. He's an incredibly talented carpenter. He's excellent. The downside is he's a one man company so he has a waiting list. His finished work is amazing. Once he's there, he's there and he's very responsive but you might have a long wait.
