As mentioned, we used Vaughn Oil for about 20 years.  We left them for one year when we looked for better pricing for heating oil.  We returned to them when we discovered that their service set them apart from all others.  
Over the years, they made numerous visits to our house - at all hours of the day and night - to perform routine maintenance and emergency services.  (Even on Christmas Eve night one year for emergency service.)  They installed a new furnace for us as well as a new oil hot water heater.  Installation was top notch and the price was competitive.
The service contract was well worth it.  It gave you a cleaning and covered different parts (depending on the level of the service contract) but most importantly it stabilized the labor rate so if something was not covered you knew what you would be facing for labor when you called.   For example, when the hot water heater let go and we came home to water running down our driveway - we had no hesitation calling Vaughn.  Service was there in 10-15 minutes and they got us heat for the evening.   The next day they worked out a replacement installation - incidentally discovering that our old unit was under a warranty.
We sold our house in late June and now have natural gas.  When I called Vaughn to stop auto delivery for oil and to cancel the service contract, they told me to let the new owners we used Vaughn and to have them call the office.   We knew that with our pricing plan, the contract was not refundable or pro-rated, but Instead of canceling our contract and making additional money by having the new owners purchase a new contract from that date, Vaughn gives the new owners the remainder of the contract at no charge.  I know I paid for it already but that is a nice gesture when other vendors I dealt with simply said thanks - we will stop it and if they want to purchase a new one they can.
The old adage - you don't know what you got until its gone - is true.  Since moving, we have not been able to find someone of Vaughn's level to service or possibly replace our heating system at the new house.  (We had an energy audit and they said our 40 year old furnace is running but is not very efficient and could\should be replaced.)  Nobody seems to offer service plans for natural gas systems or even return calls when I am trying to get prices for service or a new unit.   
The price listed for the cost of service was the last service contract I had with them.   Vaughn is a company that is big enough to have the resources to service you but small enough to care.  They need to get into the natural gas furnace business to make us happy!!!

They deliver oil automatically, and if you give them a credit card to keep on file, they give you 10cents off/gallon.  I highly reccommend them

They do an excellent job. I would recommend them.

I hired Vaughn as my oil delivery/heating service company because I wanted a local company that wouldn't harass me like Petro. I have no complaints - they're always nice to deal with and provide prompt service. Yesterday afternoon I called them about my boiler-heated hot water system not working properly - I had someone here first thing in the morning to fix the problem quickly and cheaply.

They ALWAYS come through!

Never occurred to me to call them for ac service, until...

I called Statewide. They came out couldn't fix it, said I needed a new central air unit. Charged me $126
On a whim I called Vaughn. They came out in about an hour and fixed it for $146.

Vaughn always does a great job.

They got the part right away. They are quite punctual as far as getting an appointment right away. They give you a window of time that they will come in. If you have an emergency, they come out right away.
