The crew was great! Exceeded my expectations. Have more work to be done and will use no other company.

Came out, left the stump over 18 inches above, after the quote said flush. Salesman was very rude and ignored my calls. Harassed me about payment even though they never came back to finish the stump cutting as they told me they would. Terrible company that I would not recommend to anyone.

Excellent. I am a first time user of Stanley and certainly will go back. The service was excellent and professionally done. The workers were very cordial and accommodating. The yard was cleaned up perfectly when they finished, couldn't ask for better service.

After a delivery truck hit one of the lower branches (still about 10ft high) on my pine causing the branch to split the trunk of the tree, I called Stanley Tree who had trimmed my tree in the past. I was concerned the branch would come down and either injure a passerby, or a car if the winds increased (not uncommon in Newport). Even though the arborist could not come inspect the damage himself, he was able to make an assessment from the photos I sent acknowledging something had to be done. Within 48hrs he got one of his crews to properly remove the branch. It was also determined that they had to remove a neighboring branch because it was also damaged by the split trunk. The concern by the arborist, as well as the crew, was one reason I like this tree company. They are professional and considerate, and unlike several other companies, they have professional climbers, so they don't necessarily need bucket trucks for higher limbs. We are very pleased with the outcome. The crews were professional, courteous and efficient. Everyone wore their face coverings when interacting with us. Clem worked with us to get the stump grinding crew in quickly to allow us to reinstall our fence that keeps our dogs in the yard. Thank you for a great job. I highly recommend Stanley Tree Service!

They were really good. I was a little upset about just missing a 10% off coupon that came out for work done after my contract was signed but they did extra work to make up for it taking two more trees down and shredding an existing large brush pile. I’ve been using another local business for tree removal for years but from now on I’m going with Stanley. Stanley was $1,000 cheaper than the other business too. Very polite and nice people at Stanley. No complaints whatsoever. PS whatever they pay that guy to get up on top of those trees to cut down sections at a time with his chain saw is not enough.

Great. Visit and quote the day I called the company. Full understanding of the issues related to difficult access and need for immediate removal. Day came down within two days of quote. Very happy with results.

Because of the gypsy moth outbreaks of the past few years, I have many large, dead trees on my property, many of them near my house, barn, vehicles, and utility wires. While I can cut up the trees myself, I needed professionals to safely bring the trees down before they fell down, possibly damaging property or hurting someone. The Stanley Tree representative came out and looked at my property and, because of the numerous trees in various locations, he recommended we simply hire a three-man crew with a bucket truck from them for two to three days at $1800 per day. This was cheaper than a per-tree price, and allowed us flexibility as the job proceeded to designate more trees to be taken down, or to be done early and save some money. This turned out to be the perfect recommendation. The crew that came out--Will, Dennis, and Ryan--were exactly on time each day, and could not have been more professional. They actually reminded me of my soldiers from when I was in the Army: well-trained, focused, knowledgeable about their tools and work, attentive to safety and equipment maintenance, well-coordinated as a team, and disciplined. And not without a sense of humor. There were some tricky, tight spots that were difficult to access, including dead trees just inches from live wires, and a place where they had to squeeze their truck between an apple tree and the barn, with just inches to spare. They did it all without damaging themselves, their equipment, or any of my property. They also made good recommendations regarding removing dying trees, and dead trees which weren't obvious before other dead trees were removed. And they got it all done in two and a half days instead of three, saving me $900. This is the third job Stanley Tree Service has done for me, and they have been consistently awesome. I recommend them without reservation.

I contacted Stanley Tree about a maple in my yard that was damaged. At the time the job was quoted, the tree was stable. Before my appointment to remove the tree, I discovered the damage had worsened and believed the tree was going to come down on its own imminently. I called Stanley Tree immediately. They dispatched a crew in less than 90 minutes. I couldn't ask for better service.

They worked all morning and not only cleared the vines and saplings, but also trimmed my oak in order to free some of the vines and to rid the oak of dead limbs. Great job!! I also had the stumps ground!

The 3-man crew was prompt, courteous and respectful. They were patient with our inquiries as the work was being done, and they cleaned up debris after they were done.

I called Stanley Tree works after I had come down in a storm on March 3rd. Stan came out the next day and gave me a quote, he also identified another tree next to my house that was going to be a future problem. When they came out for the first appointment, the truck wouldn't fit into my backyard. They had to reschedule, the next reschedule was cancelled due to rain, and the next one. They finally came out on May 11th and took the tree out along with another one my neighbor asked to have removed. This was a difficult job, large tree, hung up in another couple of trees in my neighbors yard and required climbers to work in the trees to free it. The crew did a great job...not arborist level work, they missed a broken branch in one tree that should have been trimmed. My only and biggest complaint was how hard it was to get information on when they'd come out with all of the reschedules and almost three months was not what I was expecting. This was a rough spring, a backlog of storm damage and a lot of rain, so I understand why it took so long, but canceling without a reschedule date was very frustrating. Cost was also higher than other services I've used, but it was a more complex, risky job than the other's I've had done. The "add on" price for the other two trees was priced about the same as other work I've had done.

The crew did an excellent job. In spite of the fact that it rained in the afternoon, all the trees came down in one day even those in a tight area between my garage and my neighbor's fence. An afternoon visit on another day by the stump grinding crew finished the job .

It was brought down safely and quickly without any harm to trees.
