Rentals - Trucks
I ordered the truck on-line with no problems. I later called in to change the order slightly. Change was properly transmitted to the local franchise. I arrived to pick up the truck over an hour early. Agent helped me immediately. Unfortunately, the truck had not been cleaned out. We took out some pallets and empty boxes and she swept out the truck. She also had to scrounge for furniture blankets from other trucks. We kvetched about the situation cheerfully (for a rainy Saturday morning). Even with this minor problem, it only took 25 minutes to pick up the truck. The truck ran very well (26 footer). Mileage was a little worse than I expected (diesel 8-9 MPG). It handled well and I felt in full control. I ended up doing two round trips to move all my stuff so having the second day paid off. Checking the truck in took 2 minutes. I was asked if everything was ok and whether the tank was full, handed a receipt and sent on my way.
