MACH-JACK CONSTRUCTION

Description of Work: We hired Mach-Jack Construction in April to put in windows.& One double window and 2 single windows.along with new shingles around the windows and a few extras that he threw in .We did not hear from him until july. & he was surposed to get it done in may. well after many calls he and his brother come & put in the front window (the double window), It was bowing after 1week I called him and told him about it, and asked what he was going to do about it. in two weeks he came over and looked at it saw it was bowing and said he would get a new double window take out the bowing one and put in the new one. in the meantime he comes over with a second contract and tells us that he will need more money because there is more work than he thought. we say ok so in total this job is $1650.00. Now he shows up later and puts in the two single windows. mid august , still no outer wood and a lot more work to do . Now its the end of august and calls me and tells me that he is going to need the rest of the money from contract 1, mind you we still have the double window bowing so bad that the screens look like smiles bugs getting in etc, and not even half the work done. Now its september 2013 the end and after many calls he finally picks up I ask him again when will he be by to finish the job, he gives me a time i ask for the following week because of major surgery for myself he says fine. The end of October I call him several times he never picks up and never calls. We have worked with a lot of contractors and never have we worked with a company like this , even the work that they did we have had to have replaced the front double windows as well as the single windows which were bought 3 inches bigger than the original ones without telling us . we had to have our inside wall replaced because of damage that was caused by this contractor from taking out the old windows.and the list goes on. Be careful this contractor will promise you the sky the moon and the sun to get the job but falls through on all accounts. we fell for the nice guy just want to keep working line . We did not want the sky , moon and the sun all we wanted were one double window with framing and a few shingles and 2 single windows with framing and shingles . and they could not deliver !

Description of Work: I contracted them to do kitchen and bathroom remodeling and adding a 1/2 bath to the upstairs of my home. They did not get permits and subsequently the plumbing and electrical had to be redone due to the non inspection work they performed in my home. I had them remove the plaster in the main level of my home and put up sheetrock and the amount of screwheads popping out of the walls and the poor workmanship is causing me to replace the low quality drywall. Although they can do some things well, they took 8 months to complete the jobs that should have taken 4 months to complete had they worked dilligently on my job. Had them also replace my hardwood flooring with 5 1/2 inch wide boards and they did not level the floor below which is causing significant problems.

Description of Work: Ric Machado is an excellent, reliable, trustworthy workman. His only desire is to make his customers happy and totally satisfied. Last fall he installed 55 replacement windows in my 1890 Victorian. A job that I was dreading actually became pleasant. He delivered the new windows, removed and disposed of the old windows and quietly and efficiently installed the new ones. He and his worker were very clean and tidy, there was no debris or damage to the house and I didn't have to do anything. He was very creative installing an antique leaded glass window to appear as if it were part of the new replacement windows. I felt totally comfortable leaving him alone in my home. I asked him back to do some shingle and painting repair after a big storm - that was done quickly and perfectly. He seems very experienced and capable of doing any project - and he is very pleasant to work with. He was easy to reach, responded with a quote whithin 24 hours and was very reasonable
