Countertop Valet

After talking with a major big box store about Silestone and getting a price/sf installed, plus $32 for bullnose edge, plus trip charge, etc., I looked online for countertops for my renovated kitchen and happened upon CountertopValet.com.  Their price for Silestone was the same, without all the extra charges.  They are an out-of-state company with local representatives.  Jeff was very nice and prompt.  He said it would take 7-10 days for fabrication and, when asked, said 2-3 days for a 15% upcharge.  I went for the 7-10 business days.  It actually took about 6 business days.  Installers were prompt, polite and very friendly.  However, Jeff had measured one piece of countertop incorrectly and it had to be taken back and re-done.  Jeff arrived about the time the error was discovered and was VERY apologetic and said he would get it corrected and delivered as quickly as possible.  Because of the Christmas holiday, he said it would probably be today (Dec. 30) before it could be installed. 

In discussing this problem, I forgot to ask that a hole be cut next to the sink for the water filter faucet.  When my plumber was here the Thursday before Christmas, he explained that he would not be able to hook up the water filter, sink faucet or icemaker until that hole was drilled.  I called Jeff in a panic.  The installers were working just a half-day, but they came out and drilled that hole within an hour--with no extra charge.

The correctly measured and cut piece of Silestone countertop arrived and was installed on Dec. 28, so my kitchen is downright gorgeous!  The service I received and the product were both exemplary.  Yes, there was a mistake, but there was also a very gracious and sincere apology and a quick resolution.  Fortunately, the piece was for my breakfast bar and its absence did not affect the functioning of the kitchen.  I highly recommend Countertop Valet for price, value and the service of its local representative.
