Hearthstone Home Inspection

It went well. They arrived early and inspect the home interior and exterior. They provide thorough report. Mathew recently check in to see how the service were and how they will improve.

I've used Hearthstone and Vadim for two home inspections in the past month...he's been excellent both times and pointed out a bunch of issues I didn't notice myself. Very professional, punctual, and he'll have a complete report ready within a couple of days.

As a first time homebuyer, buying a house is a big complicated process. Hearthstone took care of our inspection and provided us with confidence in our offer and peace of mind with the quality of our new home. Hearthstone sent out their inspector, Richard Ross, who was excellent to work with. From basement to attic and all around the house, Richard walked us through every inch of the home and explained every knob, switch, and panel. It was like getting the blueprint for the house. Richard was professional and kind, and I will certainly use his services again. We are already talking about getting inspections every few years as a "check up" of sorts for the house. Highly recommended!

Brian Seely did a great job on our new home inspection! He was very knowledgeable and thorough, but still took the time to answer our questions and make sure we understood the future impact of everything he found. I highly recommend Hearthstone.

My husband and I had this company to the house we were going to buy about 1 week ago. I had pointed out a few things I had already noted. For instance a broken window. After he reviewed I wanted to make sure the window was on the inspection, it wasn’t. He had his helper go back in to look at window and then they left. When we got the reports the second window was not on list of repairs. I emailed him and he said there wasn’t one. I had my realtor met me at house so I could get pic of sec window that was broke. I sent it to him all he said was I added it to list. Not I am sorry nothing.. that got me and husband to thinking what else did he miss. Our realtor know additional inspectior who can our to house noted additional things that need repair that when point out we’re obvious. We backed out of house and saved ourselves from money pit house. Secondly he only cashes checks 2x a month. I asked if he could do it sooner as it’s throwing off my bank account he said no. I WOULD NEVER HIRE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!!!

The inspection was complete and educational. Solutions were given with options and consideration.

Overall I was pleased with Hearthstone Home Inspections. The inspector Richard arrived early and was thorough when walking us through his findings. Considering I opted for extra services aside from the basic home inspection, I thought the price was reasonable (except for testing of lead in the water, more details below). The inspection report was easy to read. My only issue was with the well water analysis aspect. When scheduling this, I was told about three options...testing for bacteria, chemicals, and volatile organic compounds. I went with all three. When I sent the results to my loan officer, he asked about lead, which apparently wasn't included in the tests. Testing for lead is a totally separate thing that costs extra, which wasn't something they mentioned when scheduling. Luckily, the water testing company that they use, Aquatek, still had my water sample. Hearthstone was super quick about contacting them to include lead testing in my well water analysis, and I got the updated results the same day. However, it cost $120 just to add a single test for lead which I thought was super pricey. The lead results showed up under the chemicals section of the report, so I don't understand why that isn't included in the testing of chemicals. On my invoice, the well water analysis part says a sample was taken for a "Standard Profile" but Aquatek said Hearthstone only ordered a basic profile. So I guess a standard profile for Hearthstone equates to the basic water test from Aquatek. I find that a little confusing and wish it was better explained. But, that could be on me for not asking for more specifics. I would hire them again, but would consider using another company for a well water analysis.

I was very glad I called Hearthstone for this inspection. I was able to schedule an inspection within 2 days. Brian, the inspector I worked with, arrived on time and did a very thorough job. I went around with him throughout the inspection and asked many questions, which he was very patient about answering. He made many suggestions that will help me prioritize and complete the work that needs doing. I can't say enough about how helpful he was and how easy he was to work with. The report I got from Brian after the inspection (it arrived within 2 days!) was well-organized and very detailed. It includes photos to document the problems that were identified, which will be very helpful. This inspection was a good investment! I highly recommend Hearthstone Home Inspection.

A very pleasant experience! Mark arrived early and explained what he had inspected so far. He was very thorough and provided great detail to help us understand the things that he recommended needed fixing. He also provided information on the must fix things. We got the completed report within hours of leaving the home. Very quick turnaround. The report was easy to read and provided a feature that allows you to select things to show the sellers. Overall great experience.

Frank was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, and efficient, as well as being very approachable and friendly. He talked us through all the issues that he and his team found and explained their severity while he worked. After the inspection, Frank went out of his way to make sure everyone involved was fully in the picture at the right time. We got a huge amount of information that was really invaluable when it came to making decisions about how to go forward with our home purchase. We are very pleased with the service.

Frank was so professional and did a great job with our home inspection! He was early to our inspection, went through the house completely and even would go in all the extremely small crawl spaces, he had all of our paperwork of the inspection sent to us in a short time. Brian from Hearthstone Home Inspections was amazing. He spent 3 hours reviewing all the nooks and crannies of the home, provided insight on whether something was a small issue we could fix ourselves, what looked like it might need some TLC so it survived the winter, what was actually a big problem and provided a recommendation on who to use for a mold inspection when the home we are buying had a little mold in the attic that needed to be taken care of. I 100% would recommend working with Brian and Hearthstone Home Inspections. The process was easy on a customer service and appointment level, we received our home inspection report in less than one day and again, BRIAN WAS AMAZING. He was extremely thorough and seemed to know his stuff.

High Recommended. I have had John Labassier twice and he is doing my third inspection today. The inspection is thorough and non biased. He really makes sure you understand the status of the home and is persistent to check issues and areas he cannot access at first. Also the office staff is Amazing. I usually speak with Holly and she goes above and beyond everytime. She is the best!

I hired Hearthstone Home Inspections to conduct an inspection on the house I was in the process of buying. My inspection was assigned to the owner, Frank. I cannot sufficiently state how pleased I was with Hearthstone's services. Frank was INCREDIBLY thorough and really represented my interests as a buyer. He was diligent and careful, but also very fair. His report was helpful and very, very prompt. I would recommend Frank (and Hearthstone in general) to family and friends who need a home inspection during the buying or selling process. As a first-time home-buyer, I was very happy with their services.

They were the most competitively priced of the three inspectors we looked at. I called up and made an appointment for him to come out a week later. After the inspection was done he followed up with a report and an email.

He was great. The house didn't work out for us, but we will definitely use Hearthstone again.
