Very well. She took it totally apart and alerted me of the serious issues with the piano that I didn't know about.

Great. The piano is in tune (regular tune up) and Kris gave some great advice about how to prevent the front piece from falling off (which tends to happen when the piano gets tuned)

Unfortunately, it would needed over to rebuild $6000, so Sophia advised me it would not be worth the cost to repair. It has a beautifully mahogany case and real ivory pairs, but replacement parts wouldn't be available, as the piano was built before the company (Hallett, Davis) started putting serial numbers on their pianos. It would costs several thousand dollars just to make it playable for occasionaL parties. I appreciated Sophia's honest opinion. She was on time (even though it was snowing, working efficiently and explained everything as she worked. She only charged for the service call ($75).

Great, though my piano required a "complex tuning" which unexpectedly drove up the cost by $70. Sounds terrific, however. Thank you!

Great except for initial explaination. We thought basic tuning was just that, but it turns out there are all types of tuning and we needed a "double tuning" which was extra. Not being a musician I would never have known that even after reading their description. However they were very willing to work with us and in the end it was only needed on half the keyboard so they only charged half of the potential extra cost for which I was grateful. She also wiped down the piano so it was sparkling clean before she left. Beautiful touch!

Sophia was very personable and professional. She promptly responded to the request for service, was on time, and gave me an accurate estimate of how long the work would take. When she arrived, she quickly assessed the additional work that needed to be done on the piano (since it had been a while since last tuning). She did an excellent job explaining the work she was doing and how it would help the sound of the piano. Really enjoyed working with her!
