Fourth Generation Construction

I contracted Fourth Generation Construction and have a written contract. He did not provide the correct materials as stated in the contract. He installed deck railings that are missing screws, brackets installed upside down, tilting posts, causing the railings unsafe. The stairs are installed incorrectly with treads too short, risers not fastened to stairs. Stairs did not pass code inspection. Fascia around deck and stairs are incorrectly installed also. No cuttings are straight or approximated.The deck flooring is missing spacers. He also poured a cement edge around the deck that is cracking, not straight and overall a terrible job. Mr. Green did offer to "fix" items. However, as one can see from the pictures, it was never done correctly in the first place. He and his crew did not know what they were doing. PICTURES TELL IT ALL! He has been reported to RI Contractors Board as he was doing the work with a lapsed license. I proposed a settlement and he declined. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
