This was not a good experience.

DaSilva came recommended by two neighbors and he seemed fine to deal with when he and I walked around my house to discuss the scope of work to be done.

First of all, he took over 6 weeks from start to finish. The only valid reason it should have taken that long would have been if we had a lot of rain, but that was not the case. Usually there were only two men working. He had used a larger crew with my neighbor and I expected the same.

The crew were inconsiderate of my property and constantly left things that I had to clean up (coffee and drink cups, sand paper, cigarette butts) and when they used my garden hose to clean up, they never returned it to where it belonged.

My contract called for replacing soffit in the front of the house. When we discussed the work, I made it clear I wanted all of the soffit replaced and that is what the contract said but when it came time for that to be done, only a small portion was done. When I brought this to Mr. DaSilva's attention, he yelled and argued with me. I referred him back to his own contract and he grudgingly did more (but still not all). When I again pointed this out, he yelled at me again. At this point, I informed him I would not speak to him again and all communication had to be in writing. He didn't understand why and said his yelling was because of his accent. What does that even mean?

Finally, he had two men show up to complete the soffit work and then one of them proceeded to accuse me of lying about the work. How much more unprofessional can this company get. Sadly, there was more.

I wrote up a punch list and most of it was basic (paint on screens and windows) but there were areas where the main paint was clearly on the white trim and they would have left that if I had not insisted otherwise.

They spilled paint on a pool cover that was rolled up rather than cover iit or move it 2 feet.

They left paint on a wood deck.

I still have paint on windows that they never did clean up.

I would definitely NOT recommend this company. The aggravation I had to deal with was really not worth it and I know there are other companies that do quality work.

If you do use this company...put EVERYTHING in writing and make sure they clean up sufficiently.

Egidio is a great person to work with and is extremely knowledgeable about all types of interior and exterior painting. In the past, he also did an amazing job on the whole exterior of our house, at a very good price, put on a new roof, and has responded quickly to several emergencies. I can't say enough about the quality of his work and the integrity of his character!

We expected them to start about a month before they actually showed up, though this was mostly because of weather. The work went fairly quickly though the sometimes wouldn't show up for a few days. The last bits took the longest, namely, the doors, which didn't get a second coat till October. Overall, it was a pretty good job though it was hard to get in touch with Edigio at times.

This was a rather small job, that I had done however pleased with their work. They were very responsive and they showed up as they were scheduled to. I am very pleased with the outcome of their work and I have no complaints. They also gave me a quote for the exterior of my home, which I have not yet decided to look into. I would rather not discuss any pricing at this time.

He did an absolutely excellent job. His English is not great and he can be a little hard to locate sometimes, as he is extremely busy, but once the deal is made he will do what he says and do it very well. The crews are hardworking and pleasant and they keep the worksite reasonably neat. They were a little tough on my shrubbery but I don't think it could have been avoided. I recommend these guys without reservation.
