COUNTERTOP STORE

Visited their show room and worked with Alice on the options for the counters and island top. The island had to be custom made because of it's size. They came to the job site and measured for the counters and then came back to install them. All was done on time and on budget.

Very bad experience TWICE! Received two estimates, one for stainless countertop and one for quartz. Gave separate deposits for each and received a copy of the invoices with the balances due. Quartz was installed, I heard nothing from the Countertop Store (CS). When checking my credit cards statements on-line a few days later I saw CS had charged $4600 balance to the card I had used for the deposit WITHOUT getting my permission, sending my card over limit. Store owner Alice was unapologetic but did refund the charge. The stainless was installed later. This time received a call asking how I would like to pay balance. I did not have the original invoice in front of me when negotiating a reduced rate on the second balance due to fees related to previous unauthorized charge. When I received final stainless invoice in the mail the price had increased $180. I was never informed that the price had increased. Owner refused to refund $180. I have filed a complaint with RI Attorney General.

Countertop Store does excellent work. They are punctual, dedicated to quality and clean up after themselves to perfection. We had old countertops taken out and they discarded them, installing the new ones in a little over a full day.

THE PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS AND ALWAYS WILLING TO COME BACK IMMEDIATELY WHEN I CALL. THESE GUYS CAN DO IT ALL. THEY ALSO TILED MY KITCHEN WALL AND FIXED SOME BAD SPOTS IN THE FLOOR FOR FREE.
