It went great. It was a two-day job, which included removing the old wall paper in the bathroom. We were very pleased with the results.

Dave and his partner did a great job! They were professional, punctual, and clean. It took two days to paint the bathroom and the spiral staircase, which was quicker than we anticipated. They first had to strip down the wallpaper in the second floor bathroom. Then they cleaned and primed the walls before applying paint. The spiral staircase leads up to the third floor so after applying the first coat of paint, they had to block it off with plastic to keep the cats off of the stairs. Dave's son, Jason, handled the logistics and returned phone calls and emails in a reasonable time frame. The entire team was top notch and I would highly recommend them.

Dave's son Jason handled the business end, and Dave and a partner did the work. Everyone was prompt, professional, clean, quiet, courteous and pleasant. The windows came out great, the job was completed in one day, the house was left clean, and the bill came in lower than the estimate because they were able to use paint we had on hand. The whole experience was actually a pleasure -- unheard of, when dealing with contractors. I am keeping Tavares Painting on the top of list of painters to contact the next time need a job done.

We had a great experience with Mr. Tavares and his son Jason.  They arrived at our home in Westport, MA to provide us with a quote for painting the first half of our farm house renovation project.  They were professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable.  Given the nature of this old home it, nothing is easy but that was never a problem.  Jason turned around a quote the following week with a detailed breakdown of the labor and materials which ended up being the price we paid when it was completed. 
Unlike a some of the other companies we talked with - Tavares comes to a job and stays until it finishes.  They are not jumping between multiple sites and starting/stopping as is convenient - which is refreshing for remote managers like us.  Once they came - they returned daily until it was complete - a little over a week.  All questions/communication were quickly and efficiently handled via email/phone with Jason making the entire interaction very easy. 
The work was top notch.  I have no doubt a lot of caulk and puddy had to be used to make these walls/corners/edge look good - the house isn't exactly new - but you can't tell.  The lines are crisp and clean.  The paint colors are exactly as we specified. 
All in all a very enjoyable experience - I'd enthusiastically recommend these guys to anyone.  Top quality work, efficient and prompt communication, on-time execution and delivery of what was promised.... Not much more you could ask for.

they asked a lot of questions and gave some great advice to make sure we knew exactly what was needed. They were very easy to deal with. they showed great attention to detail. We got a fair price and a very professional job.  Mr. Tavares even fixed and painted and some things that were needed but that I had forgotten to include in the bid.
