SPM Design

Rui and Steve were very professional, showed up on time, were very flexible with our schedule, and I thought they provided lots of good information about this project. I feel like it was money well spent because without addressing all the details of this project, I am sure I would have encountered surprises, delays, and overall disappointment no matter what contractor won the job.
They showed up on time for all of their visits. They measured and took notes on the first visit and brought up some very critical design considerations I wasn't aware of. They were very thorough in their design. This work resulted in three pages of design drawings which is key for bidding the job and securing a construction permit.
The only minor negative thing I can say is that the drawings took a week longer than they initially estimated. But again, very minor considering the level of service I received. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to another home owner.

The construction on the new garage is 90% complete as of 8/1/2012. I am happy with the look of the garage.SPM recommended the contractor the I eventually selected. I am very happy with the builder.The only fault I have found was the lack of detail on the firewall between the garage and house. This is existing wall that is significantly modified. The requirement that it meet minimum code as a firewall was not specified. The builder caught it so there were no problems. This sounds like a bigger problem than it really was. All the other details on three pages of drawings were fine.

Both additions don't look like additions. They look like they have always been a part of the homes and both improved the interior flow of the house. Steve and Rui came out to the house, took pictures and measurements and then presented several different interior views and interior layouts that gave us some new ideas on how to use the space. Once we made a decision, they turned around the plans quickly so that we were able to get building right away. I will hire them again!
