SAMUEL MCQUAID RESTORATION

I contacted this vendor over the phone after finding his business in an on-line Yellow Pages service. I described the damage and he said he could do the repair. I brought the settee over on May 21, 2008 to his place of business. He looked at it briefly. I asked if I could have it completed by Memorial Day weekend. He said, "Sure or maybe the week after." I called on the 24th & left a message with his wife. No return phone call. I called again on May 27th. He said the settee was not done. He told me another week (6/4). I called on 6/4. Left a voicemail. I called again on 6/6 and he said, "I haven't had time to get to it. Another week will do (6/13)." I called 6/14. He told me a few more days. I called on 6/18. He was not done. I asked him to give me a time as to when it would be done. He told me, "Ten more days (6/28)." I appeared at his shop on 6/28 @ 11AM to pick up the settee. No work had been done on it. He said he would have it completed on 7/5. I asked him, "If I showed up at the shop at 11AM on 7/5 will the settee be done?" He said, "Yes." He called me on 7/4 and left a voicemail that said, "Due to an illness in the family, I will not be in the shop on 7/4. Call me on 7/7 to set up a time to pick up the settee." I called on 7/7 @ 10:30AM. I asked if I could come over and pick up the couch. His response was, "Can't be today. I'm making deliveries all day." I asked him if Tuesday, 7/8 between 3PM & 4PM would be OK. He said it would. No matter how this turns out my feeling is that this guy displays THE worst level of professionalism and punctuality imaginable. I have never ever had an experience with a service provider that has been this bad. No one even approaches this guy as far as his complete disregard for his customers. The guy is the worst. He has lied to me at least four times (and counting). To top it off he displays an attitude of wonderment as to why I am agitated. Unbelievable.
