Every corner this company could cut they did. At first I got some call backs ,I thought they would work with me. They guarantee their work. I had some grass put in and some mulch. I had no clue about lawn care; I guess they knew that. The new grass that was put down they used my old soil so now I have cut grass growing through. My mulch has weeds growing through it. They didn't take the new grass to the edge so now the old grass is growing through around my fence. The trees that were brought in had tons of broken branches. Very sad ? I have to look at this poor job done everyday.

It went very well, as usual. Very good service and turnaround timing of services performed. Brito Lawn Services always works professionally, and with great detail and accuracy to the work performed. Brito Lawn Services and Landscaping is very reputable and I will hire this company again.

Great! They said they could do the work in a few days (scheduled), but, they ended up coming sooner, which I liked, and they got it done while I wasn't home. Very good service/experience. I would hire them again.

The laziest clean up job I've ever had done. Leaves between the bushes and behind my raised garden bed and backyard fence were never picked up. If it couldn't be picked up by machine, it was not picked up. I also wanted the lawn over seeded and asked about a machine that could be used to insert the seed into the soil. He said he could do the over seeding and told me about the grass seed he would be using. In the end, all he did was use a fertilizer spreader to spread the seed which ended up running off with all the rain that followed after the job was done. The pictures below show how the lawn looked 8 weeks after he fertilized and spread grass seed(over seeded). Would you be happy? I guess I am at fault for not demanding he use an over seeding machine. I assumed he had one because I asked about this type of machine to do the job so I wonder if his broken English is an excuse he uses for misunderstandings. I also think he took a job the same day from somebody down the street from me which could have resulted in such a lousy job. I saw somebody come up to Mr. Brito and he disappeared for 20 minutes with no equipment so he might have left to give the man an estimate leaving his 1 helper to do most of the work. Unprofessional in my opinion. He was also suppose to come back and do some repair work on my stairs and some concrete work on my driveway. He did the yard clean up and I never heard from them again about doing the concrete jobs he gave me quotes for. Highly unprofessional and it makes me wonder how meaningful it is to be named an Angie's list award winner. One last thing, if he gives you an estimate, GET IT IN WRITING.

Great work. Patio is exactly what I envisioned. The wall is dry stack stone, which was falling and bowing. It was rebuilt so that it should never need work on it in the future, with drainage pipes and rebar. my whole yard looks great, green and lush. I'm very pleased with the work that was done. Joe and Vina are great to work with.

I used them all summer. They just mowed my lawn. He does good overall. Nothing stands out, seriously I use him because he's the first one I got. Years ago he was the one I started with and stuck with him. This next year I'm going to look around for better value. He's a nice guy, good company. He does good work, he leaves everything neat and tidy.

They showed up on time, worked extremely hard and finished when they said they would. Their workmanship is top quality as well as the products they use. When the job was finished they cleaned up everything. Except for the beautiful walkway and stairs you would never know they were there. They obviously take pride in their work and it shows. The price was very fair and we certainly got our money's worth. We highly recommend Brito Lawn Care and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again in the future.

Excellent work. Folks were timely and effecient. Vena was always reachable by phone for any questions or problems. I had them for several years, but they became too expensive for me. The price probable is competitive with other large lawn care businesses.

I highly recommend Joe and his team. I have an absolutely beautiful patio in my yard that was professionally installed on time. I'm really glad I listened to Joe's recommendation of going with a cheaper more basic stone that he then applied a sealer to in order to get the expensive look I wanted. LOOKS AWESOME (and I'm a super picky artist).
He was able to do the job weeks [and in several cases: months] before the other bids would start. His team came when they said they would and worked hard for three days in a row to get it done. Very professional. I should also send a shout out to his foreman John who along with Joe is extremely talented at making patios--I watched them work and was struck by their attention to detail and skill doing the job [at one point I was considering doing this patio myself--now that I've seen them work I'm glad I let them do it].
Here's the fine print:
Something you need to know about Joe is he's a craftsperson. Not a marketing person. He's the opposite of slick. When I first met with him, verbal communication was obviously not his strong area. This paused me enough to seriously consider other Angie's List bids for a good amount of time. However, his price was much more competitive and his rankings on AL are so strong that I decided to take the risk. SO GLAD I DID. He is amazingly professional, amazingly generous, gives excellent advise about staying on budget (whereas some of his competition is quick to up-sell you) and I can't imagine someone else doing a more quality job.
There were a few rough patches that got sorted out, but were a little eye raising:
1) he doesn't keep a portfolio so you kind of are forced to "trust him" that his work is good. Trust him. He's old school.
2)  when we were selecting the stones I left the meeting not quite sure what I had ordered--his communication can leave a lot to be desired--however his wife who handles the phone calls is an excellent communicator and helped me out with that [and I should note that what I ordered was a difficult thing to communicate: a sealing effect applied to a stone to make it look different: which is also in the category of "trust me"].
3) When his team first dug up my back yard, they put all the extra dirt on my grass [I had terrible grass, but it's better than dirt]. Yikes. I didn't know they were going to do that. I went out to check with them and they explained that they would regrade my yard [which really needed it] and re-seed with new grass. Ok. Wish I knew that before so I wouldn't panic. Now my yard looks FREAKING BEAUTIFUL. OMG it's strait and I have new gourmet grass popping up. WOW. Their team does landscaping too so they've got some tricks people who only do masonry don't have.
So at each of these rough patches, even though the communication wasn't there, it worked out in my favor. Joe is incredible. He's one of those craftsmen that you can just trust. He just does his thing: making your yard look great. If you're a control freak--and I should admit I bend that way--and you have tons of money to spend on someone who can talk you through everything then you might want to consider a different team. However, if you're looking for amazing quality at a amazing price and you don't mind having a master craftsman let his experience lead the way then look no further.
Finally as an example of Joe's flexibility and generosity, towards the end I brought up the problem of how to get from our new patio to the driveway--it's the kind of problem a stepping stone would solve--and this is something I never addressed with Joe. Joe says, no problem I'll take care of it and when I came back from my errand he and his team had placed a whole walkway. D***. Looks smashing [I through in some extra money for that and some mulch he also put down].
Rhode Island is lucky to have this craftsman. Don't be fooled by his old school ways: trust Joe Brito and his team.
