+ 0 moreFortune Construction installed and insulated the sliding door, finished the interiror and fixed the exterior, patching in the siding so it looks like it was always a part of the house. We are already looking for our next remodeling project and will definately use Arthur & Crystal Fortune again.
Description of Work: Arthur opened up our dining room back wall and installed a slider that brings in a huge amount of light from our previously dark dining room. There were lots of changes along the way as my husband and I worked through the job. Arthur & Crystal were patient and never made us feel like the changes were a problem.

+ -1 moreOur attic was not insulated correctly, had no flooring to be able to use it for storage. Fortune Construction installed a durable hatch that pulls down easily (even I can do it). Durable wood flooring helps give us a ton of extra storage space. There were also issues that were found with the insulation and venting in the attic. They were able to resolve the issue for us and we can now finally get all the extra boxes out of our basement to make room!
Description of Work: Installation of a pull down hatch and stairs for attic access. Addition of flooring so that we could make the attic a more usable area for storage, insulated and vented as appropriate.

+ 0 moreThis project started out with us just asking for a simple door, but the more we saw how convenient this door was, so now we don't have to keep opening the garage door every time we want to go in or out of the house... the more ideas we (well my husband) got. Fortune Construction did the demolition to create the new door and then added a concrete step. The door was great, but as we saw how nice the inside came together, we decided that maybe we should have a little roof above the door so that when we're bringing grocercies in, we will be covered. Arthur gave us additional pricing to put a 4 x 4 deck and steps. He installed a roof over it and covered it with shinkles that makes it look like it was always a part of our home.
Description of Work: Create a new entry into our garage with a steel door, add concrete step inside the garage so the entry was seamless and then installed a small deck, covered with a roof, shingles.
