After just 2 years the asphalt is cracked and shrinking everywhere. The 2 to 3 inches has turned out to be less than half an inch in most of the job. There is a piece of wood in the pavement that I won't remove. On top of it all I come home from work and they were just packing up to leave and we never set up a date to do the job. Luckily there were none of our vehicles in trapped in the garage. We are now shopping for a reputable paver to salvage what is left. JOHNSON PAVING ? STAY AWAY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

"Mr. [removed member name], I am very sorry you are unhappy with your service. First off, when a job is scheduled, a day is given for the installation to take place. Sometimes issues like weather and jobs taking longer than expected come into play. We never rush a job once we are on sight. Because of this, the schedule can get changed. Please understand if that happens to be the case for you, which it apparently was, your job will be given the same attention and implemented in the same way. Your particular job was an asphalt overlay, meaning that we went over the original driveway with 1 1/2"-2" asphalt. This choice was chosen by you because you planned on selling the home and it saved some money due to no labor in tearing out the existing driveway and the use of less material. As stated on our contract, this type of install does not get any warranties due to the asphalt base not being replaced. When you called with an area that you were not satisfied with, Michael went out to make the area to your satisfaction. You then called and still were not satisfied. He then went out again, met you there, and worked on area. You then were satisfied with the work and sent him on his way. Do understand he went out two times to make you satisfied with the job when by the contract, there was no warranty. The way our business is run is that we go out and try to make all of our customers satisfied, within reason, warranty or not. I feel we did more than our part in this matter and we left your job with your approval. I am sorry you now feel differently."

Great to work with from initial estimate and quote to final cleanup. Estimate was fair and reasonable with everything clearly defined and explained. Rachael Johnson in the office was very informative and helpful in setting up the date and time of the work and was flexible to our schedule. Workers showed up 15-20 minutes prior to scheduled time of commencement. Owner is very and quot;hands onand quot; and supervised and worked along with the crew who were all very professional and hard working from the time they got there until they left. Whole job only took about four hours! These guys know their stuff and make the job look easy. They obviously know what they are doing and were fast and efficient yet very careful of our yard and home. I was especially worried about a brand new sprinkler system I had installed just a week prior to the driveway job with sprinkler heads and underground hosing just inches form the driveway. No problem! They are surgeons with their heavy equipment and didn't bother a thing. The driveway was pitched to allow the rain to drain off properly and the driveway came out great....They cleaned up nicely afterward and hauled all the old driveway and asphalt away...Couldn't be more pleased...There are outfits that might do the job cheaper, but try these guys instead...You won't be disappointed. I give them a thumbs up, and quot;Aand quot; rating, 5 out of 5 stars...

They gave me a date, came on that date and proceeded to work on the driveway and walk way. Very little talking - 5 men. The took away all of the old asphalt, cleaned up around the grass area. Next the hot asphalt came and they put in the new driveway and walkway. After it was finished, they went around cleaning up the grass and surrounding areas. They did a beautiful job on the driveway towards the end of the house. My husband and I were very pleased with their work.

Flawless from start to finish. Responded to first phone call. Always exactly on time. Owner on the job with his crew. Completed the job in time estimated. Everyone spoke English (helpful for person from Alabama.) All crew clean, pleasant and friendly, NOTHING left when they had finished the job (in four hours), they even swept the street. The owner could use me as a reference anytime.

Johnson Paving replaced a driveway in April 2013. In the winter we noticed a couple of cracks appearing - which appeared to be caused by roots under the drive. By the time I reported this to Johnson Paving the asphalt plants had shut down for the winter. After inspection, Rachel Johnson agreed to repair the cracks, under warranty. That repair work was done today, very effectively and professionally. I am very positively impressed by their follow-through and the pleasant way they honored their warranty.

We are incredibly pleased with the work that Johnson Paving performed. Scheduled them to come and give an estimate, they were prompt and quick, measured everything out and gaves us a quote for the job which was very reasonable.
Our driveway is quite long and was covered in crumbling crushed asphalt which had begun to wear bare in spots and drain water toward the house and the garage. We also have Invisible Fencing for our dogs and the line runs right through the middle of the driveway. We were assured that all our problems could be easily handled and they were right. They arrived a few minutes early and began to remove the old drive - the crew was very professional, quick and quiet. They even shored up the small deck leading into our house from the drive which wasn't mentioned on the original work statement and yet didn't change the amount of the job. New rainfall is draining toward the street now and the Invisible Fence is working normally.
We are very happy with the work, the people and the cost and would recommend Johnson Paving to anyone.

Fast quote; emailed proposal; sometimes slow to return calls or emails as the owners don't seem to have office staff. Work was done as quoted and work was done well and as expected.

The contractor was professional and courteous throughout the process, from initial contact, estimate, and completion of the work. He did not try to sell me on having more extensive (and expensive) work done, but explained clearly what NEEDED to be done to ensure a quality result. His estimate reflected this, as it was very much in the middle of the 4 that I obtained. They were prompt, efficient, and cleaned up the area completely when finished.

They showed up when they were supposed to and did a great job. They didn't leave anything on the lawn that wasn't supposed to be there. Their price is very reasonable.

It went great. They showed up on time, finished in half a day. old driveway was put in wrong didn't drain to the street and had many pot holes and sink holes. they raised up new driveway so it is angled toward the street and water won't puddle up. Had 5 estimates. they were in the middle in price but they included more work in that estimate. Every other one was going to keep the apron near garage, not raise up the driveway and have it flush water to the sides instead of the street. Johnson paving ripped up asphalt all the way into the garage. Definitely highly recommend. They also hauled away old bricks from a landing area that I dug up next to the driveway and pulled out an old rusty basketball pole.

The company responded extremely promptly to my request for a quote for the work. They followed up with a phone call to inquire whether or not I would be using them; they were professional and courteous, not pushy. The men who did the job arrived promptly, did a great job, and were also very courteous. A helpful suggestion for future work was made, again without being pushy or aggressive. I will be contacting them in the future work on my driveway again.

Johnson Paving replaced my single family home driveway completely. Ripped up the old driveway and sidewalk and put down fresh asphalt. I also own a 3 family around the corner, and they overlayed a fresh coat of asphalt on that driveway. Everything was done in one day and i couldn't be happier.
