Estimate was under 10k, support posts replaced 3 different times, went from having 3 crew members to just him. Hit original contracted price, wrote a new contract, and then proceeded to up the cost every week or so. Too far in to have him stop, so I let him finish. Ended up at close to 30k. Deck is pretty good, but some work leaves a lot to be desired. However, I will NEVER hire him again!

He never finished, work didn't pads inspection by building inspector, so had to hire someone else to tear it all down and completed job.

The posts that he put in did not meet the township ordinance specs, Additionally they were not lined up. When township inspector came he told him to take everything down and rebuild again. He refused to continue unless I paid all the money. This was not as per contract and I told him that the rest of the money will be given to him as per contract. He refused to continue and I never heard from him again. I filed a complaint with BBB and he never responded to them either. I had to hire another contractor and he had to start from scratch by taking everything down including removal of posts and rebuild it. I lost $5000.00 with the original contractor.
