AirSciences is a locally owned and operated business which focusses on improving the health of your indoor environment. Our goal is to educate prospective clients, so they can make an informed decision about the health of their home, school, or business. We provide a variety of investigative and corrective services which can identify the cause of an indoor environmental problem as well as correct it.
Description of Work: We were informed by one remediation company that, due to leakage from the past winter, interior walls would have to be removed to dry out moisture between the walls. An inspection performed about one month later by Mr. Daryl Gould, with a boroscope, established that while there was evidence of some previous moisture, suspect areas were now completely dry. Mr.Gould was outstanding in his thoroughness, his patience in answering our many questions and providing needed reassurance. He is a uniquely honest, well informed and considerate individual in an industry notable for questionable practices.

We had a 10 AM appointment. I waited 15 minutes for him and when he didn't show, I went into a 15 minute meeting. At 10:30 I came out of my meeting and found his card in my reception area. A client told me that he came, waited a couple of minutes and left. I was told he only left "a minute ago". I called his cell phone immediately in case he was still nearby but no answer. I left a voice mail message. I called him again an hour later and left a second message. No return call in 24 hours. I don't have a problem with someone arriving a few minutes late. But I do have a problem with his not waiting a few minutes for me and I have a bigger problem with the fact that he didn't return my calls.
Description of Work: Called AirSciences to evaluate air quality in my office.

Response from Daryl Gould - Owner First, I apologize that your experience with us is less than what you had hoped. While we do not have a large number of reviews on Angie's List, we encourage prospective customers to view the reviews on our web site, or review sites like Thumbtack.com, Yahoo, or our own website (www.airsciences.net). As a company policy, we will call a customer if we are going to be more than 10 minutes late for any inspection or service delivery. This is not simply a policy that I have created and enforce, but one that I hold myself too as well. We share in the opinion that our customer's time is just as valuable as our own. Unfortunately, as a company that continues to offer free inspections, we must be efficient with our time. While the inspection is free for our customer, we absorb the cost of travel and time associated with these inspections. Expecting to have a thorough mold/IAQ inspection in a 15 minute window is unrealistic. Upon entering the office, there was no receptionist to notify of my arrival. After waiting a few minutes and to make best use of the time, I set up our laser particle counter to take scans of the air (part of free inspection) to identify any elevation in mold spores in the office. THe reception area was also inspected for visible signs of mold or ant conditions that could precipitate or contribute to a mold related air quality concern. After taking three readings were taken (all indicating no elevation in mold related particulates), the equipment was packed back into its case. This process takes no less than 10 minutes. At that time, there was no sign of customer, so a business card was left at the empty reception desk and I departed. A customer service call was make to the customer within 2 days of the inspection to notify them of our findings during our brief time at their location. No contact was made with the customer and we did not hear back (operating under the assumption that they received our message and they were satisfies with the findings. Again, i am sorry if your customer experience was less that you, or we, had hoped for. Thank you for considering us and best of luck.

My brand new vehicle had a mold issue and was making my family very sick. Migraines, etc. Air Sciences came out and tested the vehicle in several places and confirmed my suspicions. The testing with Air Sciences was free of charge, because you can hire them for mold remediation should they find mold issues. Though I did not need them to perform the remediation, as it was a dealer issue, they still went above and beyond to help me fight for my rights as a consumer. I have forged a long lasting relationship with this company, and several people I know have used them since. They are extremely personable, very professional, and their knowledge of their field is really incredible. I can't say enough wonderful things about this company.
Description of Work: Air Sciences came out and tested my vehicle for mold contamination. The testing was free of charge.
