The Lock Shop

Wonderfully. I called 3 other Angie's-List-recommended locksmiths before I called The Lock Shop. Their phones all went to voicemail. Jeff answered the phone on one ring. He explained how he prices the job, answered my questions, and sent David two days later. David called me with an estimated arrival time. He was professional, personable, and did a wonderful (and immaculate) job.

They made it easy. They sent Jon out the next morning. He arrived on time, knew what he was doing, and made 2 keys for me.
I was not fond of paying that much money, but I was tremendously relieved that it was not more. The car computer did not have to be replaced, and I now have two functional keys.
With one of them in a safe place :-)

Pella/Lowes initially sent the wrong parts, so the Tech had to come back. The Servide was great.

I have 80 year old locks which are original to the house. I needed to have the keys changed and I needed them fixed since one was frozen and the other was spinning around when I tried to unlock the door. I also had a lock on my shed that I wanted to re-key. They examined the shed lock and determined that they could not change the lock and create new keys. Next the technician determined they one of the locks was not fixable. He did change the lock and make keys for the other door, but within a day, the lock was giving me a problem again. They came back again and did not charge for the visit, and this time he installed a deadbolt on the door so I would at least be able the lock the house prior until I do renovations and replace the doors. Since I already had a deadbolt, he used the one I had (no doubt saving me some money).
He didn't charge me a fee for the second visit which would have been $52, since I was still having a problem with the lock that they had serviced the first time. He only charged for the deadbolt installation (1/2 hr of labor @ $37). They also did not charge for looking at the shed lock the first time around.
They were very professional and punctual.

Installer came even though it was a snowy day, was professional and courteous and performed the services I hired them to do.

The lock works more smoothly than it ever had before.  Best of all, I didn't have to replace the keys to the door or buy a new lock.

Jeff arrived right on time. He changed the locks on 2 doors and was done in a flash! He even fixed something that the owner had done incorrectly to one of the lock sets. Great price for amazing work!

I called The Lock Shop based on Angie's List recommendations, and I was not disappointed. The technician showed up on time, and he promptly and professionally changed out all the locks on my home. The pricing was reasonable, and the locks were well installed. About 10 minutes after he'd left, I somehow managed to lock myself out of my house. Embarrassed, I called The Lock Shop back and asked if they could let me in. Within 15 minutes, another technician showed up, and he was also very professional. It was difficult for him to open the lock (which indicates to me that the first technician had done a great job), but he worked at it until he got it.
I would highly recommend The Lock Shop, and would use them again in the future.

They are so good. They opened nearby a little tiny office in the office building in South Kingston which is close to me. I can really recommend them. Their labor is more than 50% of the price. There is everything to like about them. I like them for their friendliness. They have a special way of sending their people. They are very on time. We can sense that the person knows exactly what he is doing. He tells us what he is going to do and he does it. I think their price is fair. They are dressed professionally and they are very excellent. They said they would be here Friday and they called before they came. They call 15 minutes before they come here so I know they are coming. They come when they say they will come.

Professional service

I had just closed on a new house and wanted all the locks changed before renovations started. I met with the locksmith at the appointed time. He was friendly, professional, and did an excellent job. I had mistakenly counted only 5 cylinders that needed changing, when in fact the number was 8. The locksmith took this in stride, had the equipment necessary, and completed the job in an efficient and professional fashion. Overall, a great way to get started on the new home.

Worked fine.One lock acted up for a while after reinstallation but is now working properly without further work.

Almost a year later I realized the deadbolt did not fit into the hole in the door jam so it could not be locked.. They came out and repaired the deadbolt for no charge at all. They were courteous, and their prices are moderate. They were also polite.
