Locksmith Service
This was an emergency call-out as we had locked ourselves out.
1st Call: requesting assistance, we were advised that we would be called back within 10min by technician. Address was provided. Price was advised as $35 for call out and $35 for opening lock.
2nd Call: 20 mins after initial call we called back ( as no call received by technician ). Address requested again, indicating that no action had been taken upon initial call. Again we were advised that we would be called back within 10min by technician.
Contacted by technician, approximately 40 minutes after initial call. Technician had incorrect address (wrong town and street name).
Technician advised he would arrive in 30 minutes at our house - which ultimately took 45 minutes.
Upon arrival to house we were advised the price was $45 for the call out and now $135 for opening the lock!!
Justification given was that "not all locks are the same?.
4mins was the time taken to physically open the lock.
i.e. an extra $100 demanded for a lock that took 4 minutes to open?
Technician then communicated preference to be paid in cash.
As cash was not an option, subsequent cheque was requested to have made payable to a personal name and NOT Rhode Island Locksmiths.
In summary - a dissatisfying experience and we consider Rhode Island Locksmith a non professional company.
