They were professional, showed up when they said they would, and you could tell they cared about the house and cleaned up. This is in connection with the utility company, National Grid Utility, to make our home more energy efficient. They will help with the financing.

They did not adequately protect the wood floors on the first floor level and drops of spray foam product splattered EVERYWHERE! There explanation was that the floor didn't look in great condition. We spent at least 20 hours trying to clean the floor with everything from Goo Gone to Mineral Spirits with no success. In the end they knocked off $300 from the bill, but it wasn't worth the hassle. Also, the individuals that arrived to do the work were not employees of Green Seal, they were subcontracted. Green Seal appears to be a broker and does not do any of the actual work they sell. Finally, the Office Manager is unprofessional and even discussed with us that if we didn't settle our bill immediately (in spite of the complaints we had) that she would be unable to meet payroll - as if that were our problem!
Response from GreenSeal Inc
"The member was one of those customers who was completely unreasonable. Our side of the story is as follows: the member had a young man who was on site and we assumed in charge since the member was not there and we were told that the floor was going to be replaced so it did not need much production. We still did put down plastic, but didn't tape it over since the floor was in terrible disrepair including large areas which had no floor boards there at all and we could see that a replacement floor seemed obvious. The wording of splattered EVERYWHERE on the floor is to say the least an overly dramatic explanation of the situation. The member did admit that the floor was going to be replaced but that he had run out of time and had renters coming before which is why he wanted things cleaned up. Which of course was never communicated to us until after the job was done. We sent our crew back to the job and they spent hours scrapping material off the floor by hand all the time being harassed by the client. He spoke in a very condescending manner to our employees and if not for their effort to please the customer would have left the job. We are a small company and our Office Manager tried to speak reasonably with the member but he was extremely rude to her as well. We gave the member a very good price and waived our usual 50% deposit since he promised to pay the day the job was done. Being in the building industry at this time is so competitive that getting clients is very tough and no one can afford to get a bad name based on ridiculous accusations. We tried very hard to please the member and sometimes you just can't make people happy. We have been in this business for 8 years and have worked with many local builders as well as homeowners in RI, CT and MA. Our reputation has always been excellent as to the care we take with our work, our knowledge, product quality and our customer service provided by both labor crews and office personnel. If anyone would like to get references from past customers we are more than happy to provide both homeowners and builders. Our employees all work directly for GreenSeal. We do not farm out our work. To say that we don't service our product is a blatant lie. Since building has declined, we have one crew who works as sub-contractors for us because we do not have full time work for them. We employ three other crews who are all employed full time. Our sub-contracted crew works exclusively for GreenSeal and has outstanding experience in the spray foam insulating field. We hope that this is all taken with a grain of salt and that potential customers reading this will call our company and see for themselves the degree of professionalism we provide before, during and after work is done."
