RENE & SON CARPET & FLOORING & TILE

Rene and Son did a great job putting a prefinished oak hardwood floor in my upstairs hallway on a tight schedule. I called on a Wednesday, met the estimator the next day for 20 minutes on my lunch hour, got the estimate a week later by email, made one phone call, signed and faxed the agreement, my daughter met a lumber delivery the next day and had I the floor two days later. I left my house unlocked one morning, went to work, and came home to a beautiful new floor. They cleaned up after themselves completely. I didn't get any other estimates because I didn't have the time, but the price seemed quite reasonable for a work crew of 4 for a day. They had to deal with matching the height of the flooring at the top of the stairway, 5 doorways with transitions to carpet, one doorway with a transition to tile (they matched the color of the grout spot-on with some caulk between the tile and wood) plus the detail work to get the flooring under the baseboard trim. All of the work was excellent.

They were good. They came on time. They cleaned up after themselves. They were pleasant.

Right from the start we had a good feeling about Rene and Sons. My wife and I stopped in their showroom one day during lunch to get some prices. The lady that helped us was courteous and knowledgable about the products. Dennis came over and gave us an estimate once we had picked out the materials we liked. We also got a quote from Home Depot. That experience was just what you expect. Home Depot charged us $50 to come out and measure and they missed there "4 hour window" to boot. A call center gave us our quote......they were terrible. Rene and sons couldn't have been better however. Since we were doing other renovations in the house we really appreciated that they were flexible in scheduling (we only gave them about a weeks notice for when they could come in). The floors were done just the way they said they would be and everything looked fantastic. The actual price was just a little bit lower than quote. It was very clear that Dennis took and lot of pride in his work and that craft was important to him. Little details like how the tiles would lay out in front of the cabinets were not ignored. I have dealt with many contractors and this is probably the best all around experience I have had. I would recommend them to anyone....

Their prices are good and the installers they use are very professional. They did a super job. There was a problem with one of the rolls of carpet when we opened it up. One of the partners came and looked at it and immediately told the installers it was unacceptable, so they went back and got a new roll. They did the job in a day and a half, and the work was excellent! I would highly recommend. Their prices were competitive even with the larger companies.

I spent $600 on that work. They were very professional. I went into the store and I got a lot of attention in selection in learning about the specifics for a rental house. I learned about the kind of carpeting I might want to put in, so that it would last a long time. They were very prompt and gave me an estimate and it was exactly that, and the installation was meticulous. The clean-up was excellent. It was all cleaned up and they took the old stuff out and there was no dust or dirt and everything was very clean and I was very pleased with them.
