A 1 Locksmith Service

"It is unfortunate that we might have had to turn down service which was not able to be scheduled for the same day. If we are booked for the day and we can not service that customer we can only be cordial on the phone as we regretfully decline a customer in need. While this may not make someone happy we feel it is better to decline the work, than to make an appointment and not be able to actually perform the work and at last minute reschedule with a now desperate customer, who is faced with even less options after a time delay. I have also looked up the date of May 9, 2014 and it was a Friday. I have also looked up phone records for this date and I have no record of any conversation with anyone from Portsmouth although I can not confirm there was not any call. I can say my one of my competitors, on a regular basis refers work to us that is not able to be handled by their shop. I can also say on that Friday afternoon I was in Providence RI and would not have been able to have taken on any work that required same day service. I also looked up the address listed by the claimant and although there was "no service" there is no recollection of any request for service on at that location and I am pretty good with such memory. I even remember doing a service call for a customer in the same Oakland Farm development last summer. In conclusion, I am sorry if there was an actual conversation about service, (tell me what phone number was called) but responding to what would have only been a brief phone conversation more than 6 weeks later, that did not involve any actual service is not fair to us or to other members of Angie's list."

"Thank you for the review and sorry for any misunderstandings. In all we had to drill for two deadbolts and rekey the house. The work date from original contact was over 5 weeks and although it was still important for contact, it was not what we felt was requiring an instant reply as we had everything planned and scheduled with only a few minor changes as time went by. Unfortunately the storm door lock company "PADO" had gone out of business and we had to locate key blanks to be able to key that storm door which had not had a key available for many years. This was never a security issue but required internet search time, ordering, and delivery before we could finish the job. Overall we felt the customer was very nice and we worked our best to keep the job on track and the customer happy. We also never billed for the job until it was completed to our satisfaction.
