I called on a Monday afternoon and Joe scheduled the appointment for Wednesday and gave a 2 hour time frame. The repairman arrived on time and fixed the icemaker. I've been doing business with Rinfrets since they opened. Mat and Joe are really good trustworthy people. If you ever have a problem call them.

The root cause of the problem was determined by skillful instrumented testing of the refrigeration cycle to reveal which component caused the failure. He phoned a refrigerator technical representative to confirm that he had brought the correct replacement parts and proceeded to finish the repair in a very timely fashion. Several hundreds of dollars of food were saved as a result.

Freezer and refrigerator controls were not performing well, either everything was freezing or warm, nothing in-between. The technician isolated the problem to an iceblock between the two compartments. This was caused when the refridgerator door was left open for a long period of time and then closed (while open, condensation..when closed, ice was formed). We did remember this happening in the recent past.

The repair work was flawless; my only quibble was with the ordering of the parts. Wrong ones were delivered, so it took a while for the repairs to be completed. But that was not Rinfret's fault; I blames the parts supplier. Praise gores to the both repair technicians; they were super polite and very capable, but Jose deserves special mention for his friendliness and good cheer.

Rinfret's Appliance Service checked out the refrigerator. It took him some time to troubleshoot what the problem was. I didn't find him particularly courteous. He got aggravated because he couldn't find the model number on our freezer so I ended up going online and looking for it. He didn't know the part to order. My husband followed it up and ordered the part and we fixed it ourselves. So we paid the $95 for him to come out and take a look and we did the work anyway. We have had them out once before and they were courteous and fixed the problem.

The service technician, Jose, arrived at my house promptly. He was extremely polite and courteous. Because the problem was not apparent he had to spend some time eliminating the more obvious reasons until he finally isolated the problem and fixed it. Throughout the process his attitude remained positive and cheerful. He worked efficiently and methodically.

The repairmen was obviously stressed out from a long day and was a bit "short" with his answers but he gave me an honest answer to my problem and was a welcome relief from the experience I had with Wickford Appliance.

I had spoken to another repairman who couldn't come, who guessed from my description that the computer in the door would have to be replaced and the cost he guessed at would be worth it. So I called Morrone Eletric here in Westerly where I buy appliances, and they referred me to Rinfret's for repairs. When I made the appointment there was a week's wait, but they gave me a window of a couple of hours when the repairman would come. That morning the repairman, Ryan, phoned from Newport for directions, gave me an updated time, and arrived right on that time. He was efficient and neat, but concluded that the problem was not the computer but the touch pad on the outside of the door. He gave me a breakdown of the parts and labor that would be needed to fix it. That was more than seemed worth it, given the age of the dishwasher, so he gave me some advice about brands and models based on what he sees as a repairman.
