KEN KIBRY CARPENTRY

We hired Ken Kirby to do some work in a rental property -- which he came and did and seemed ok at first. However, a few weeks ago I had a job for him and he kept stringing me a long for weeks until he finally admitted he didn't have time.  Now I've found out some of the work he did (putting window rails in) has a problem -- the tenants can't open and close the windows apparently.  Even worse, the work on the deck he did may have wound up causing leaking into the wall and mold build up. So I called him to see if he can check it out and he's not even willing to stand by the work he did!  Not to mention that, he was rude and unprofessional.  Don't use him.  I found another great guy who was reasonably priced, nice and prompt on Angieslist so there's no reason to waste time with people like Ken...

All the work was performed well and timely, except at the very end, when the deck stairs were installed without risers. The stairs looked unfinished, and I communicated the same to Ken Kirby. It pretty much got ugly from there, with Ken Kirby going on a very unprofessional and defensive attack mode. This included profane and insulting language directed at me up to and including implied threats of retaliation of some manner. I had to have my attorney send a letter to Mr. Kirby to cease and desist communications with me.

DON'T CONSIDER USING HIM. HE'S INCOMPETENT. HE PRETENDS TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE DOESN'T CLEAN AS HE GOES ALONG. THERE WAS A TERRIBLE MESS AND IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING. THERE WERE LEAKS HE HAD TO COME BACK AND FIX.
