+ -1 moreThe job was done in the time he indicated and the yard was left clean. During the first rain the flashing around the chimney leaked. We called immediately and he personally came by and got on the roof and took care of the problem. Two years after the install we started having trouble with the gutter guards which were causing more leaves to collect than without. We called him back but didn't come when he said he would. The day that he did finally stop by my husband was actually on the roof removing the gutter guards himself. He asked the roofer if flashing or something else should be installed now that the guards were being removed. He said no.Three years ago we had our first ice dams. We called him and he never responded. We installed heater cables and were fine for another year. Last year we had ice dams and they were far more severe. We are now learning that he did not install a ice and water shield and because of the guards, the roof does not extend far enough down to be certain the water runs into the gutter.Now we are getting quotes for the correction/repairs of this incorrectly installed roof.
Description of Work: We had no problems or leaks with our roof but decided it was time to replace it. We got three quotes on the replacement before hiring this company. The owner came to do the quote and his price was right in the middle, not highest, not lowest. He seemed knowledgeable and assured us that the property would be left clean with no nails, trash, etc. left behind. He is very chatty and any time he came by would stay and stay. But he seemed conscientious and not slick in any way. He also suggested gutter guards which we agreed to even though we'd never had them before. He did not replace the gutters but just did a retrofit to use the guards he sells.
