Crew was great . Job better than expected.

My husband and I had seen Classic Seal Coating doing driveway work at the group home across the street. Their driveway is a little larger than ours, but comparable.My husband was impressed by the time they took and their attention to the job. They appeared meticulous in their work.He called them for an estimate to do our driveway. A couple of weeks later, workers arrived and quickly swept the driveway and applied the seal coating. They took less than a half hour to complete the job. The workers left without a hello or goodbye. We were home at the time. Within fifteen minutes, our phone rang. The company was calling to say they hadn't received payment. My husband told the person on the phone that the workers had never come to the door. After the phone call, someone arrived within fifteen minutes to get payment. I wrote a check, and my husband also showed the worker where he saw poor quality in the job. There were several issues my husband pointed out.The worker said that we have a lot of acorns in our driveway, and then he left, never saying the work would be fixed. Up until this point, phone calls to set up the job had been
polite. The worker who came to give an estimate had been polite and never mentioned acorns from the next door oak tree being a problem. However the tone of those with whom my husband spoke when he called for customer service and to have the
job finished correctly became far from polite. On the first call, he was told the owner would call him. The owner never did, so
my husband called again. The woman who answered was unhelpful in her response. My husband responded to her by saying part of their business should be working out problems with customers. She hung up on him while he was talking to her. A couple of minutes later, the owner called. He wanted to know what kind of sealer was used on the driveway the last time it was sealed. He told him he had done the sealing in the past using a sealer from Lowe's, and the worker said it could be something to do with that seal coat having a reaction with his company's seal coat because the last one was store-bought. (That had never been mentioned as a potential problem prior to the job being done.) He said he would come by and take a look at the job. As far as weI know, he never did come by as we have not heard from him.We would like the work to be done properly and finished.
