National Grid installed the new gas service line on October 4. Before the boiler installation, I contacted Classic Chimney (Mark Burnett) to have the flue liner inspected, and part of the chimney repointed. Arthur had recommended Classic Chimney, and I was very pleased with Mark's work and pricing.

I am extremely pleased with the new heating system. I had 3 plumbers come to the house to look at the old oil burner and give me estimates on converting to gas, plus a timeline for the work. Arthur DiPetrillo provided me with the most detailed information regarding the type of boiler best suited to my needs, was prompt in returning my phone calls, and always friendly, considerate, and professional throughout the entire process.

Arthur and his son Artie arrived on October 9. together with the company Boiler Buster who removed the old boiler, and also did a great job covering my newly sanded hardwood floors with heavy-duty protective paper. Arthur and his son returned the next day and worked from 8 am to 4 pm, and finished up the installation the following day, together with Frank Grzych for electrical work, which included installing a CO detector wire to the heating system.

The entire job included installation of a Burnham ES24 gas-fired boiler (105,000 BTU; 85% AFUE), a new expansion tank, 911S water feeder combo back flow preventer, low water cut and all other piping and controls for complete operation; 4 Taco zone valves, and 4 place relay. Arthur recommended that I keep the existing Amtrol indirect fired water heater, which he reinstalled.

My basement was left neat and clean, and I could not have been more pleased with the work. It is now the end of November, and the heating system is working beautifully. However, since this is my first experience with a gas heating system, I have no idea what my heating costs will be in the coming months.

I have since had Arthur do additional work in the house, including installing new shower fixtures, and replacing a dryer vent in the basement. I have also had Frank Gryzch return to do some other electrical work in the house. I would recommend them both without hesitation.

Arthur returned my call promptly and appeared for the estimate on time. He was very thorough in going through the house to measure the radiators (which I kept) and explained how he worked, including his hiring of an expert contractor that he often uses to remove the asbestos and the oil tank (optional removal). The gas company was giving incentives at the time and Arthur took care of all the paperwork. Once the gas company notified us that I was eligible for the incentives, Arthur got right to work. The job took 2 days and my basement was cleaner when he finished than it was before he started! Both he and his contractor were very neat and left nothing behind. I was very pleased with the work and should have written this much sooner.

Arthur provided detailed information regarding possible replacement choices along with a personal, analytical assessment of what considerations we should take into account when making a decision. Once we chose the boiler, he gave us a clear breakdown of the work that needed to be done and the various associated costs. The work was completed efficiently and clean-up was stellar. While I rated DiPetrillo a B for cost, he was within range of other bids. I just find it overall an expensive proposition.

I would have no reservations whatsoever about using DiPetrillo again. In fact, he is now our go-to plumber.

It went very well. Came out to around $700, Gem and Petro wanted over $1,000 for the same serveces, plus these guys took the time to explain why things happen and gave me some good advice on electrical issues I was having and came out on a Saturday without charging extra or talking down to me. I will definately use them again.

I was pleased with the entire process. The sub-contractor he used was excellent (thorough and clean) and his work was timely and professional as well.

Arthur and his helper arrived exactly when they said they would. The appointment was made on Tuesday after a Monday holiday and they came the next day (Wednesday). He checked carefully that our plumbing met code because we have a 100 year old house. Everything was fine, so all he had to do was cut out the old trap (PVC pipe), line up the disposer output pipe, and install the new trap. They were in and out in exactly one hour, including some "schmoozing" time about our new faucet.

Excellent. Arthur DiPetrillo did the work, very clean, and 6 months later all is very well with the installation, as it has beeN since day one. Now calling on him for another repair.

WITH ALL OF THE OTHER WORK GOING ON, WE BARELY NOTICED THAT THEY WERE HERE. THEY WERE IN AND OUT QUICKLY AND HAD EVERYTHING DONE. THE JOB THEY DID SEEMED LIKE IT WAS DONE RIGHT.
