Excavation
In the construction services its hard to find a straight talking, no hidden cost provider. I'm one of those DYI guys, acting as my own general contractor. If you hire a GC, expect between 15%-30% cost overhead. The "G" in G DELSIGNORE is for Gerry. Gerry came to the site, reviewed the work and made several recommendations preventing some potential disasters. He gave us a quote and stuck to it, despite extra work he overlooked in his bid.
Gerry has several backhoes and other equipment to perform any job, on any site. My site presented several challenges requiring 2 different size backhoes to dig and grade the site. Gerry scores 10 on a scale of 1-10, keeping my project moving on budget.
A sign of a master contractor is their attention to detail before the project starts and how well the maintain the site while working. Gerry is clearly a master excavating contractor. He is bid came in within my expectations, no the lowest, but most likely saved me big dollars in overages - which usually happens with the low bidders.
I'm now working on a large landscaping project where Gerry will be providing services to clear and grade the site.
