GENTLE GIANT MOVING & STORAGE - PROVIDENCE

They're great! They're really careful in moving, very little damage. They are more expensive than the others but they never damage or if something bad happened they send people to fix it.

The Gentle Giant teams I have hired over the past 6 years have been consistently amazing. They are competent and strong and seem to make moving an art. They take away all your moving stress which is the bottom line for me. I will always call Gentle Giant for a major move or even an in house move.

things they DID NOT tell us prior to arrival: they wanted to stop for lunch on our time, they claim they don't handle bleach/detergent/jewelry, and the insurance does not cover things they don't pack themselves...BTW they broke 4 of my antique wine gobblets, oh but the insurance doesn't cover it because they didn't pack it!!!!!!!!! we were ready to leave our place to go to the new one, and they said they had to stop to get water...which I thought was odd they didn't have water already. when they said they wanted to stop for lunch, it was on the way to the new place, and they said they came first before our pets (whom were moving with us). they also offered us to come out and check the truck before they left our new place, but literally the next minute said they were in a hurry and had to leave.

Things were awesome. This is the second time I used them. The workers were great. They were very well-mannered. I would tell a friend about them.

The crew knew we needed to be out by 1230pm for a walkthrough. showed up early and got it done. Pleasant, cooeprative, friendly, interesting guys. Emptied our old house in a safe, efficient manner.
kept stuff overnight and showed up on time to deliver into new house. Reassembled furniture, beds, etc. Very easy to work with.
Have had bad moving experiences before so you don't appreciate a good mover until you deal with a bad one.
Our estimate was a bit short (we needed another 1/2 truck) but they did not charge us bc it wasn't on the estimate. That is almost unheard of from a moving company.

It was twice the amount that I had for the one I used for moving.  They were great but it was more expensive.  But they have great answering service.  They are known to be very pricey.  They got back to me.  They were very nice to me as far as the quote is concerned.  I have used them in the pass.  They are great movers especially if you have a lot of stuff or valuable.  But there are also smaller guys who give good service.

We were so impressed with this company from the day I picked up the phone to the day I signed the final paperwork. Punctual, understanding, professional, streamlined service. I would highly recommend this company to any situation.

I've moved several times as a homeowner, and this was BY FAR the BEST moving experience I've had. When the movers arrived to move us out of our old home, we weren't finished packing. Our buyers' walk-through was happening in 5 hours. They didn't even blink an eye. They just got to work, and got the job done. I was able to clean as they finished each room, and our house was empty and sparkling when the buyers arrived. The next day they moved us into our new house. They were pleasant, friendly, careful, and generally fun to be around. Not only did they place things in the correct room, they happily offered to move furniture to different rooms when we changed our minds about where things should go. They didn't leave until we were 100% satisfied with all the furniture placement.  We just finished unpacking, and not a single item was damaged in any way. Moving is an incredible stressful event, and Gentle Giant did everything they could to make it easier for us. The price was reasonable for the services provided. If you have a move in your future, don't consider anyone else. Gentle Giant is the best.

Everything went extremely smoothly. No issues, no damage, quick and painless.  We have always had great service by Gentle Giant.

To book the moving date I worked with a salesperson that layed everything out in detail so there was not any surprises in the end.  I paid a deposit to secure my moving date and then just waited until about 2 days before the actual move.  They called me 2 days before and reviewed everything.  On the day of moving they turned up with the amount of people & the size truck that we had agreed on.  They were there about 15 minutes before the schedule time, they walked through the house to come up with a plan for packing and loading their truck.  I went to the new house and they arrived about 4 hours later.  They were courteous, friendly & polite the whole time.  They stayed forcus on the job they were doing but also inacted with youin a fun way.  They did whatever you requested of them....the job came in under time and under dollars.  
I would recommend them to anyone that wants a smooth moving experience.

They are very careful with our stuff. They were timely and courteous.  Our two year old was in the way the entire time. However, they were very patient with our family needs.  It is great company.  You pay for the quality of the service. We really trust and like them.

I was very impressed with the movers who came. They were very nice to have in the home. They were very pleasant and respectful. They interacted well with each other as well. They were very concerned with anything we told them was important. They are very responsive. I am planning on hiring them to move something from Minnesota to Rhode Island.
