I found this company by searching the internet. I chose this company because it seems they are one of the few in Rhode Island that can handle the work I need done in house (not with multiple sub-contractors). When I initially called and explained what I wanted done, I was told they would get back to me if they were interested. I made sure to stress in this initial call that the job was at a single family home and may not be a large enough job because from their website it seemed they mostly did commercial jobs. They called back later that day to say that they still did small jobs at single family homes and to set up an appointment. The day we were scheduled to meet the contractor contacted me 5 minutes before to say he had a doctor's appointment, so we rescheduled for later that week. When we finally did meet the contractor was very pleasant and after discussing the work I wanted done gave me an informal quote of $15k. But he said I should use a general contractor to oversee the work. So he referred me to his cousin as a general contractor. I scheduled an appointment with the cousin/general contractor. When the general contractor came to my house he looked over the job and seemed to think I needed a lot more work done than the initial contractor had suggested. His informal quote was $30k. I told him that $30k may be out of my price range, but he said he would write up a formal quote and get back to me. I called both contractors a few days later and left messages at their offices after not hearing from them. I never heard from either again.
Description of Work: I called this company to have my concrete garage demolished and rebuilt and have support piers installed.
