1. None of the walls in our bathroom are square, the critical one being the one that surrounds the bath tub, which means that our glass shower doors do not close completely. The only way to correct this, would be to remove all the tile and redo the whole wall. 2. His workmen were careless and reckless with the rest of our house and the whole house was a mess from doing this one bathroom. 3. First day on the job and Dean broke a water pipe during the demolition work which leaked into our downstairs sunroom. The whole ceiling had to be repaired and painted and now more than half of the ceiling paint is peeling down to the plaster and falling on our furniture below. 4. Corrections that needed to be done after Dean "completed our bathroom" were numerous. a. The wall by shower where it abutted the adjacent doorway overlapped by 3/8" and did not abut properly. Dean initially put a vertical strip of moulding from floor to ceiling to hide this; when we told him we did not think this was done correctly, he just cut off the top portion of the molding (this was poorly done and was not square and did not contain a proper 45 degree bevel as the other corner of the door did) and squared off the rest of the 3/8" edge with drywall mud. We finally had to hire someone else to drywall the entire wall and properly build out the door frame to match the wall adjacent to the tub. b. 3 walls of the bathroom needed to hung with blueboard and plastered. c. window and doors needed to be recased (none of the trim matched or even came close to matching original trim on the house). d. screws were sticking out of pocket door and those had to be ground and repairs needed to be made to the door. e. the exhaust fan vent and heat register needed to be repaired. f. toilet leaked due to fact that wax ring was not sealed correctly. g. light fixtures on side of vanity were installed at different heights. h. tub leaking from drain overflow and drain needed to be replaced as well (had been repaired by Dean's plumber, Vincent Ricard, so that it still could leak). i. tub installed incorrectly-skirt floating and legs on tub also floating. j. tiles broken around tub needed to be replaced and needed to have joints around tub re-grouted. k. bedroom adjoining wall had cracks as well as cracks in trim that all needed to be repaired and repainted.
