A Star Quality Painting

I bought a Living Social coupon for $89.00 for one room of painting up to 12 X 12 X 8.I called and made an appointment. He didn't want to see the room he'd be painting ahead of time. Said he'd just come and paint it.On the day he was to do the work, he didn't arrive at all. Two hours after the time he said he'd be here, my husband called him. (My husband worked from home that morning anticipating the painter's arrival.) He asked where he was and the painter responded that his truck had broken down and after it was fixed he needed to be at another job.Remade the appointment (only because Living Social doesn't give refunds, they have to come from the companies themselves). WE canceled this time because we realized that he wouldn't be filling in any little holes or anything, the scope of the work was straight painting of the room, not trim or anything else so we had someone else do that part of the job.Tried to remake the appointment and got no call-back. I called and left a message that I would be satisfied if he just gave me half my money back because I could see he wasn't going to do the work. He called me back and said, yes, of course he was going to do the work but he was backed up and he would call me back in a week. NO CALL. Called him again after giving him a couple of weeks to get back to me. No call back. Re-called and said I just want my money back. Then he called back. Said he was backed up and he would call me in a week. Deja vu. He never called me. It's been several weeks now since that conversation. And now the coupon has expired. I am very, very disappointed. I realize he wasn't going to make a lot of money on this job but a deal is a deal and we bought that coupon in good faith.I hope I can update that somehow this issue was resolved. If so, I'll be happy to report it.
