It's run just like a human hospital and it has an emergency area. I've been there when a dog got hit by a car and they go out with a stretcher and an IV hook up. Two people would go out where one of them is the vet and the other person is a tech that goes through a certification program. They're excellent and they have so many specialist there. They have like 48 vets in this place and it's amazing. You go into a triage area on one side, the other side is the emergency area, and the back is the surgery and recovery area. It's really handled very well. George S. Coronado was the vet that we dealt with and he was very, very, good in his explanation. He doesn't talk over your head or under your head. He's very personable and everything. He explained everything wonderfully and showed us an example of a knee with the hardware or the old fashioned way that they did with my other dog before they had this. I told them that I wanted to go with the top way because she is 9 years old and is going to be around for many years. This was the second time that we've had a pet go there. We had a cat that couldn't maintain his sugar level. He kept getting low and having seizures, so we finally had to put him down. They stabilized him and told us that he probably has cancer and so forth, but he was older. They do doggy dialysis there, heart valve replacements on dogs, and everything. I was in awe being a nurse and seeing all those specialties. It's just like a regular hospital and you could drive into the emergency area. They're great and absolutely wonderful.
