John and I had discussed some various pricing scenarios prior to his arrival. We agreed that he would perform work an hourly rate rather than a per job amount as the scope of work was not a standard project. It ended up there was somewhat more work for him to do than I'd anticipated because to my delight he was able to arrive within minutes after our phone conversation. Even with the additional work than planned I was pleased that the final price fell within the range we had discussed.
John showed up with shoe coverings to avoid tracking winter weather inside the home. He was sure to cover the floor and work area to avoid any damage. I am quite familiar with the work he performed and assure that the time he spent was efficient and appropriate.
On the phone and on-site John was professional, courteous and he was clear to discuss and advise the various pitfalls of an improper installation. The information he provided was spot-on and was appropriate advice.
Total time of work was 1.25 hours.
With any service provider I would suggest discussing the scope of the project and price ahead of time so perhaps there is a meeting of the minds prior to their arrival so there's at least a general understanding between the parties to avoid or minimize any misunderstanding that could have otherwise been prevented.
I am very satisfied with the communication as well as the quality, time and price of John's work.

John was very helpful in helping us order the best products for our needs. He worked hard to minimize our inconvenience during the remodel, and even worked on Saturday. Later, when we had a minor concern, he came right away for no charge to investigate. He is always neat and tidy, and very cheerful. It is great to have someone who will do both minor and major plumbing work

I was very pleased with their service. There was a noise in a pipe and they quoted an expensive price and I did not have them fix it and the problem just went away on its own.

I am two for two with Angie's List. Jand K Plumbing is the second company I found on Angie's List and, like my first experience, this one was excellent as well. I am very pleased with the work done by John from Jand K Plumbing. He was very attentive to details, and explained everything he was doing step-by-step. Before drilling, John checked with me to make sure he was installing the new faucet where I wanted it. He came the day before to give me a written estimate, which was exactly what I was charged - no hidden "extra" charges that some add when the job is done. John also went over with me other plumbing jobs in my house that I plan to have him complete. John is polite and professional, and made sure my property was clean before he left. I used a coupon that I purchased through Angie's list that brought the price down significantly, but even without the coupon, the price was much lower than other estimates.

They provided an estimate, arrived on time, were very professional and friendly. We had a part on hand that they were able to use so they deducted the cost for that part from their charges. They even cleaned the area when done and took all trash with them.

My mother had used J and K for years prior to her death, and since I had returned to RI after a long absence, decided to stay with J and K since I didn't know the area well. J and K have performed numerous services at my house and the house I inherited from Mom. Both John and Chris are exemplary workers and extremely meticulous. No job is too small or too big, and on a couple of really minor issues, John didn't even charge me. Highest possible recommendation.

They say, and quot;residential service at a lower cost for our customers. Why pay emergency prices for non-emergency plumbing?and quot; What he says is true. His prices are the most reasonable of all the plumbers I have contacted.

Water was leaking from the bathroom of our summer cottage into the basement. Mr. Damien of Jand K determined that the source of the leak was the toilet. It had cracked, probably from being frozen during the winter. Mr Damien removed the cracked toilet and installed a new one. He also explained to me the necessity of using a large amount of antifreeze in the toilet when preparing the house for winter. Later we found that the water level in our household storage tank ( gravity system) was much lower than it should be even after a day of pumping. Mr Damien came out again and spent several hours clearing out the pipes and checking the well pump. When we finally realized that water was slowly running from the toilet tank into the septic system and I called about that, Mr. Damien dropped everything and came out immediately, found the problem, which was a small metal filing keeping the valve in the toilet tank from seating properly, and fixed it for no charge. I intend to call on Jand K for any future plumbing needs and would recommend them highly.
