had to wait for start because of backlog but in the end got what I wanted and more. He replaced bad bearing and delivered clock to me for not much more then price of cleaning and lubricating.

• The service went very well.. It required two visits, one to remove the entire mechanism and the second visit to install and set up the new mechanism.  All went extremely well and my wife and I were gratified to have John do the job.   He kept us informed as to the progress of the job and was extremely punctual on his two appointments with us.

I brought my 30 year old wall clock in to Hutchison Clock Repair on Main Street.  There was plenty of parking on the side of the building (parking on Main St can be a challenge).  John, the owner, was very courteous.  He examined the clock, explained what needed to be done, and quoted a price and an approximate timeframe when the repair would be complete.  The repair was completed before the estimated date.  Now my old clock is as good as new!  I would definitely use Hutchison Clock Repair again!

Clock is 25 years old and no longer chimed or kept time. John Huchinson came ito our home and noted that some of the clock bushings needed rework or replacement. He searched out and made some calls and noted that replacement parts no longer existed for this clock. He could repair, but cost at some $900 was not worth it. He offered for another $75 over the $75 service fee to clean the clock mechanism and oil to see if we can get some added time out of it. He spent about 1/2 hour cleaning and oiling but said he could not guarantee continued working. He did not charge the added $75. Very professional. Would recommend him to assess any clock and expect a fair assessment.

He was very punctual and set the clock up perfectly. He was upfront about pricing and stuck to the price. I will call him if we have any issues with the clock

It went well. I had called him the day before and he met me the next day and waited with me for an hour as my niece who had a key to the house was late. As he disassembled the clock he gave me a lot of information about the clock. Before I came to transport it to my home in north west Ct, he had offoerd to transport it himself and reesmble it. Since I had declined he showed me how I could reassembe it if I did not want to get someone else to do it.. He did an excelent job packing it and had no problems getting it home. John also called me the next day to make sure I made it back with the clock in tact. He gave me information on video online that showed how to reassemble the clock and names of people and websites I could find out more about the clock.

He was great. I think he's the third generation according to his business card. He knew exactly what had to be done with it and it was ready when he said. It took three months because he had such a backlog of repairs, but he's the best. If you have any old clocks that need to be repaired, cleaned or whatever you should go see him. He was a little pricey, but he knew what he was doing and it was an old clock. He doesn't do house calls and has a shop on Main Street in the town next to me. He said three months and it was three months, so he did say it was going to be ready when he said it was going to be.
