When we discovered our main drain was clogged up and leaking sewage water at 8pm on a Sunday night,we called Diffley. A technician arrived within the hour, cleared the drain and was a very professional and pleasant person to talk to while he performed this pretty gross task. We were pleased with the customer service and the passion for which the technician said that he strived to maintain the same values as the founder, Mr. Diffley, who had recently passed on in the days before our service call. I think Mr. Diffley would be proud of this technician and how great he was.

Emptied Septic Tank....on time, quick, no problems

I had my septic tank pumped out. The technician was very professional and helpful.  Fair price.  I would definitely use them again as well as recommend them.

Very well. both technicians were very knowledgeable and able to spot the problem right away.

Diffley figured out the problem within a couple of inches of where the pipe was clogged. The other companies that we hired tried 3 different times to come. Diffley was fabulous and were half the price of the other companies that came out. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their drains cleaned on Aquidnec Island.

It was a straightorward visit - they showed up on time and cleared out our system.

We had two separate issues the most pressing of which was a kitchen sink drain that wasn't draining.
The technician arrived on time & once here, evaluated the problem @ the sink & checked to make sure the problem was just with the kitchen plumbing by having me run water & flush toilets in the bathrooms while he watched at the septic tank to see if that water made it out to there.
Since our financial situation isn't the best with the recession & one of us is still unemployed, he tried the least expensive fix first. This was to blast pressurized air down the drain in order to dislodge the blockage.
He tried several times but it was apparent that whatever was causing the drainge problem, high pressure blasts weren't going to cure it. He explained that with our well water & since the high pressure blasts did nothing that more than likely, given the age of the plumbing, the problem was hard deposits built up on the inner walls of the piping constricting the water flow.
Out came the big guns ! He went to work with the rooter machine & after getting through the smaller diameter kitchen drainage piping to the main sewer line out of the house, he removed the rooter, filled one side of the sink & released the water. Voilá! Just like new! Problem solved.
The technician was knowledgable, courteous, efficient & didn't leave me with a big mess under the sink to have to clean up.
Issue 2.....We'd not had our septic tank pumped in 4 years since unemployment had gotten us both so it was overdue & we decided we'd better get that done as well before we had bigger, more expensive problems. Both jobs couldn't be done the same day, so the septic pumping was set for the following week.
Right on time on the appointed morning, the big PINK Diffley & Daughters pumping truck arrived. It sounds strange to say this, but it was our best pumping experience since we bought the house 30 yrs ago.
Other companies in the past have trashed my plants along the driveway with the pump hose & the trucks themselves were extremely noisy.
But most off putting, these other companies expected  us to supply them with a hose so they could wash down the inside of the tank & suck up all the crud that they'd washed down off the tank walls. One of the other company's men even stuck our hose right down into the sewerage in the tank. I was so grossed out that we simply threw the hose out w/the next garbage pick-up & bought a new one.
And the last time we had the tank pumped, we didn't have a hose long enough to reach out to the tank. That pumping company didn't have a hose, period, so that last step of the pumping/cleaning job didn't get done. The final rinse down is a part of the job & I expect the company I hire to have all the tools & equipment necessary to perform the work they were hired to do. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.
Diffley & Daughters is different & far above any septic pumping company I've used in the past.
Their truck was clean, quiet & powerful. The pump-out went much faster than past pump-outs.
And I'm not sure how they did it, but suprisingly, the noxous septage odors during the pumping process were almost nonexistant.  With past pump-out experiences, a nauseating cloud of stink went hand in hand with the pump-out so we usually had it done in cold weather when the windows are shut anyway.
Because Diffley & Daughters also service portable toilets, their truck is equiped with a tank of water & hose for the final rinse down. The final rinse down of the tank was done w/the water shot out under pressure so everything got blasted loose of the tank walls & sucked up. This is probably the cleanest our tank has been since it was brand new!
Like the other Diffley & Daughters man the week before, this technician was efficient, courteous, knowledgable & mindful of our property.
Diffley & Daughters pricing was right in line with the other companies I'd called but their job performance excelled & eclipsed service I'd received from other companies in the past.
We will definitely use Diffley & Daughters for our septic pumping from now on and they will be the first company we call for our plumbing needs in the future .

Overall it was a great experience. They were responsive, cost effective, and very professional. I would use them again in the future if needed.

They did a great job and they have competitive prices. 

The job went very well overall. They did put some holes in my sprinker system, but they came out and fixed the problem when I made them aware of it. They were responsive and returned all my calls.

Very responsive to our call. Responded within 60 minutes. He took care of the problem and charged a fair price. It was a Saturday.

ONE OF THE BEST FEATURES OF THE COMPANY IS THAT THEY ARE SMALL AND THEY SEND THE SAME MAN EVERY TIME I CALL. HE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HE ANSWERS ANY QUESTIONS THAT I MAY HAVE.
