SCHOFIELD SANITATION

We were having serious problems with our plumbing, The toilet in the downstairs bathroom was overflowing when flushed and the shower was draining very slowly. I emailed Schofield Sanitation yesterday (Sunday) hoping that I would hear from them this morning (Monday). The owner, Ron, got back to me a short time later and I was thrilled to get an appointment for this morning. Since the upstairs bathroom was still operable, I didn't think it was an emergency that had to be dealt with on the weekend and didn't inquire about that possibility. Ron estimated that he could get to my house around 10 or 11 am. He and his son arrived at 10. They found the septic tank cover quickly (it wasn't visible on the surface) were pumping it out with 5 minutes of arriving. Both Schofields were efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. In addition to a full tank, there was also a pipe clog which they were able to clear quickly. They gave me lots of helpful information about: preventing clogs in the future (hint - Flushable Moist Wipes may be costly even if you get them on sale); how often to use products like Ridex; and which products can be safely used to clean toilet bowls when you have a septic tank.. Ron gave me an estimate of $200 on the phone Sunday, which included a New Customer discount. He honored that price even though they pumped out more gallons than expected. When they left, the ground looked undisturbed, pretty good trick considering they had to dig a little to get to the lid. One last note, while it wasn't critical to the work done, it was a nice plus that their truck was gleaming (and not smelly AT ALL) and they were neat and presentable. I would hire them again in a minute and recommend Schofield Sanitation to anyone.
