The work was performed to our satisfaction. We encountered a minor problem. A porch gutter was  bent during the installation. When brought to Ken"s attention it was corrected immediately and a new gutter was installed. An area of concern, was that after they started  the job, we were informed that the roof deck had to be covered over with plywood. This increased the cost of the installation by $3500. The initial quote was for $11200, hence a total cost of $14700. The reason this was a concern, was due to the fact that the house next door, which is the same construction and built at the same time as ours, had been reroofed three weeks prior to ours. They did not require a plywood install. I don't know if this was needed or not and probably will never know. The reason I question the need, is due to the fact that Ken Luther had installed the prior roof thirty something years ago, without the plywood, and we never had a problem. In fact, we did not replace the shingles  because we had a problem, but due to the age of the roof, we felt replacement was the prudent thing to do. I mention this so that others will be aware of the possibility and I feel this needs to be a discussion prior to signing.

It took five days to remove and install 25 squares of shingles.  Luther Roofing employees followed the contract in every detail and left the roof watertight each evening.  Clean up each day left my lawn in better shape than my landscaper left it after his fall clean up a few days before the reroofing.  I am very satisfied with the work that Luther Roofing did on the removal of the old roofs and installation of the new roof on our residence.  The new roof looks great.

Ken Luther and his crew were excellent.  Ken promptly return my calls.  He gave me a detailed and professional written estimate that was accompanied by informational booklets on the materials that he was using, warranty information, BBB info, license info and his insurance certificate. I contacted GAF, the manufacturer of the roof shingles, who confirmed that Luther Roofing was a GAF certified contractor, which entitled me to a better warranty from GAF, just as Ken Luther had represented.  He provided me with a realistic and accurate date of when he would start the work.  His crew was hard working and polite.  They cleaned up every night and swept for nails with a magnet.  His crew arrived on the date and completed the job in the time that Ken said they would.  About 9 months after the work was done,  I noticed a small damp spot in the ceiling where the roof over my dining room bay window is---which has been an on-and-off problem when severe storms hit since we have owned the house and this problem predates Luther Roofing's work.   When I called Ken Luther, he promptly returned my call and absolutely stood behind his work.  He sent someone out from his crew a couple of days later to fix the problem for no charge.  That was more than a year ago and I have not had a problem with that small spot since.  I would definitely use Luther Roofing again.

I had some damaged shingled replaces due to a storm. They came out to give me an estimate and I booked the job. A gentleman from Luther Roofing came out and did an excellent job. Very professional and a very nice person. I would definitely hire them again. The price was reasonable as well. You can't go wrong here.

The experience was excellent. He was good and I would use him again. They came when they said and they charged what they said. They cleaned up everything and kept me in touch with what was going on.

THEY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB. I HAVE KNOWN THEM FOR OVER 15 YEARS. THEY HAVE A REALLY GOOD REPUTATION. I ALSO THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS REALLY GOOD.

THEY WERE EXCELLENT. THEY PROMISED AT THE BEGINNING THEY WOULD CLEAN EACH DAY AND IT WAS LIKE THEY HAD NEVER BEEN THERE WHEN THEY LEFT AT NIGHT. I WAS COMPLETELY SATISFIED.
