A Cut Above Landscaping

Rob and his crew did a wonderful job taking care of our lawn and always clean up and blows off the driveway when done.

This is the 3rd year that we're working with Rob.  He's a pleasure to work with.  He asks great questions to understand what we want, is prompt, reliable and does great work.  Our lawn looks great each year!

Called to inquire about having a tree trimmed that was growing into my neighbor's yard. I was given a variety of options for how to handle the situation as well as quotes. The service was completed earlier than promised and on budget. I found the people I worked with to be professional, courteous, and offered excellent service.

ncolnRob and his crew are very polite and professional. I changed my landscaping company from a service I used for 28 years to A Cut Above. I should have changed service providers much earlier. Rob is truly invested in his company and the satisfaction of his clients. Thus far we are very happy with our new lawn care service.

.Robert was very quick to respond to my Angie's list email. He came out within a few days and walked the property with us. We needed to get our property in shape and the quote he gave was complete and reasonable. His workers are extremely professional and detailed. They did a complete spring cleanup and edged all the beds. They also trimmed tall trees and got all our shrubbery into shape. We could not be happier with Robert and his employees. We are a ten unit townhouse association and our property has not looked this good in years.

A cut above did my fall clean-up. What a beautiful,professional job they did! They cut back my perennials, cleaned beds and got rid of all my leaves. They were punctual and very professional..at a fantastic price!

The team worked very efficiently. They were punctual and it was clear from the equipment they were using and their teamwork that they care about the work they do. They were professional both in attire and personality. They ensured I was happy with the work before they left and spent time to answer the questions I had. I will be calling them again in the spring for additional work

I wasn't able to go out while the work was being done, but when I did I discovered that the crew who "weeded" the garden was not very familiar with the plants. All of the ground cover (ajuga) that had nicely filled in some of the beds was removed and will have to be re-planted.
When I called the owner to give him a "heads up" and suggested his staff have a better knowledge of plants if they are going to week, he apologized and offered to replace the ajuga. It was not my intention to have him replace the plants; however, I appreciated the offer, which I accepted. To date, the owner has not contacted me about replacement.
For these reason, I changed my initial overall experience on 5/7/13 from an "A" to a "B."
My subsequent several phone calls were never returned. I am very disappointed inasmuch as A Cut Above did an excellent job with the spring clean up, and I would like to have used them again. However, because of his unresponsiveness to the multiple phone messages left for him after May 7, I feel I must change my overall rating to a " D", and find another landscaper.

These guys were PHENOMENAL. Due to a family emergency, lawn care was low on the priority list and went untouched for over a month. These guys went not just "A" Cut Above, they went several cuts above AND beyond! And all in 90° heat, no less. Even when I went out and told them they'd already done a wonderful job, in their eyes, they weren't done yet.
I could not have asked for a better performing crew, nor a more professional one.
A+, Gold Stars, and whatever other high marks can be given!

Called A Cut Above after getting no where with a different company. Rob was prompt, extremely knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Rob offered suggestions as to improve the look of several planting beds. He was upfront about how busy and behind he was with the rain and had about 3 weeks to wait. Rob and his crew did an outstanding job and I will use them again.

Rob was wonderful to work with. In the backyard of a house I bought, there was a very large garden (65' x 30') that was severely
overgrown. There was cement steps, trees, stumps, weeks, old garden tools, uneven terrain. It was so overgrown there was even a feral cat living in it! Rob and his Team cleaned it out within a few hours and made it level, clean, fertilized and grass started. It doubled the size of the backyard.

Rob came to my home to estimate the cost of what I needed. I had requested all leaves be picked up, flowers and bushes trimmed and lawn mowed along with removal of branches. He called me back and stated it would be $375. He was very open to when I wanted them to come. When he emailed me to say they would be coming in few days I had to respond that due to the weather, my roof was not finished. He was fine with this and eventually came on 11/24/12.
I was extremely pleased with the job they did and I'm thinking of doing a fall clean-up every year.

I was contacted by Rob and he met me at the job site. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Rob was able to have his crew do the work the same day. I am extremely pleased with the results and would definitely use their services again.

Job was done as discribed and a day or 2 shorter than it was expected to take. This project, like all other projects usually have hangups. However, unlike other projects with hangups, this project did not come with astronomically high price adjustments. In fact, Rob was very accurate with his solutions and rectified the unforeseen problems quickly and without increased price. He is very knowledgable.

They are terrific workers and I could not rate them any higher; they are terrific. I will use them again in the future.

They are really prompt. They always come at the same time and on the same day. They are really fast. They show up with five or six guys and they will do it in like twenty minutes.
