My two AC units were blowing warm air I found this company in the bargain buyer. They came out and fixed them I paid them the total bill. The next day my downstairs unit was still not working would not go under 80 degrees. I called again to see if they can look at it because they obviously didn’t fix it right. They came over told me there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just hot out and charged me another 200$ service fee just for that when I just paid a 500$ bill and service fee the day before. Had to call another company to come and actually fix the problem 700$ later . Disgusted with there professionalism and price gouging don’t waste your money or time !!!!

I hired United Mechanical to do a Combi-Boiler Tune-Up & 2 AC Tune-Ups since Navien (my boiler brand) had them on their list that were certified navien specialists. I also hired them to look at a tray that had gunk in it in my condensate pump connected to my boiler. The company that originally installed my boiler was out of business so I was forced to rely on the list provided to me by Navien (what a mistake). When I scheduled on the phone I told them I had 2 AC units on my property. Junior (Owner's Son) showed up on Thursday when they said he would and supposedly did a Boiler Tune-Up and Tune-up on 1 AC unit. He told me someone else would need to return to do the other AC tune-up since he could not get to the AC in the crawl space attic (wish I was told this when I booked the appointment with Kim). He also said he was not told by the office that I had 2 AC units even though I specifically told the office (Kim) before getting them to come out. I was quoted $150 for the boiler tune-up and $85-90 for each AC tune-up needed. I should have known since their prices were a bit under other companies that I called that something was up. Junior drained my boiler and said that the Navien boiler only needed to be descaled when it was needed. He told me that the Navien boilers were basically junk (Nice to hear this from the company referred to me by Navien as one of their specialists). He then proceeded to knock over the bucket of water in my basement all over the floor. He did not say anything until I noticed the next time I came down and said "what is this water on the floor". He said he knocked over the bucket and asked for a towel to clean it up. He did clean what he could, but we needed to run a dehumidifier for a full day to take care of any water that seeped into the ground that was still there. He finished the boiler tune-up rather quickly and then moved on to do 1 AC tune-up (1st floor) since he said he could not get to the other AC unit in the crawl space attic. He finished this AC tune-up rather quickly also (he literally finished both tune-ups in under 1 hour), which I thought was a bit fast. He charged me $150 as stated for the boiler tune-up and only $80 for the 1 AC tune-up. I should have asked myself why are these prices even cheaper then what I was quoted and why did it take literally no time to do. I asked about the gunk in the condensate pump tray and Junior left off with he will order the tray to replace the one in the condensate pump. He said the tray should be in on Monday or Tuesday. He said he would call me to let me know exactly when the part would likely be in and then schedule to come back to replace the tray and also have someone come back with him to do the other attic AC tune-up. I called on Monday and asked about the tray that Junior said he was going to order and to schedule the other AC tune-up. I spoke with the owner Steven Smith (Junior's father). I explained that Junior said he ordered the tray (Thursday) and that he was going to call me to schedule the follow-up. Steven said their administrative assistant (Kim) was out and would have her call me when she came in. I then received a call 10 minutes later from Steven again. He said that I didn't need the tray for the condensate pump and that there were a million ways to solve this problem. At this point I explained I was confused since I was told by Junior (his son) that he was ordering the part. I asked if the part had been ordered. Steven said "No the part was not ordered since it was in stock at their supply store and he did not like my tone of voice", in a very rigid manner. I have never been spoken to like this from a company doing business, let alone the owner speaking to me this way. I said what tone of voice I was just confused since Junior said he was going to order the part (last Thursday) and he would call me to schedule the follow-up. Steven proceeded to say "do you want to know the other solution." I let him explain, but was still rubbed the wrong way for the way he spoke to me. Steven also stated that the Navien boilers were junk (seems like a common theme since his son Junior said the same thing when he serviced my boiler). Steven said they can just add an acid neutralizer on the line before the condensate pump. This did not make any sense because my condensate pump already has an acid neutralizer built in (stones in the tray) and I only need the tray/stones technically replaced. I told him I was still confused because I thought just the tray/stones needed to be replaced, not add another acid neutralizer onto the condensate pump line. At this point, Steven said in very loud voice "WE DO NOT NEED YOUR BUSINESS, FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO SERVICE YOUR NAVIEN" and hung up on me. You would think this is the end to the story, but I am afraid it is not. So after I was rudely handled by the owner of United Mechanical Steven Smith, none the less, I sought out information from a few other companies regarding my condensate pump tray and Navien boilers, in general. I found out that Navien boilers need to be descaled every year (Junior @ United Mechanical told me they did not need to be descaled every year). So I had to hire another company to basically redo all the work that United Mechanical (Junior) supposedly did the first time they came out. Had my Navien actually been tuned up correctly by Junior, then my water would not still be a dirty brown color when it was flushed. I also discovered that one of my AC condensers outside was literally frozen with ice. Had Junior actually did the correct tune-up with the AC unit (like he was paid to do) he would have noticed this. The company said that all Junior did for the Navien tune-up was empty the water and fill it back up. Also, the outside AC condenser that Junior had tuned-up was still dirty. I have attached photos of the AC condenser that Junior supposedly cleaned. Morale of the story: Do not use United Mechanical unless you want to pay twice to have the work redone correctly and be degraded by the owner, Steven Smith. FYI - I am not the only review found online with Steven Smith's unwarranted bad attitude toward the customer.
