"[Member Name Removed], I am sorry about your experience. We moved you into our storage facility on 8/14/21 not 8/14/22 and we moved you to your new address on 12/23/21. You are posting a bad review 10 months after your move? Missing Jordan sneaker 10 months after your move? At the beginning of any move the customers are advised that we are not responsible for boxes that are packed by owners. Unfortunately we have to idea how the owners packed their boxes. You had a total of 56 boxes and after each box was listed on your inventories they were followed by a condition of pbo (packed by owner). Unfortunately the broken items that are too many to list were all marked on your inventories. After each item was listed they were followed by a condition of scratched, broken, worn, cracked, chipped, marred, gouged, dented, etc. As far as the rocking horse it was listed as badly worn and chipped. As the bottom of each inventory page it says: “I acknowledge that the condition is as noted on the inventory and I have received a copy of this inventory”. Each inventory page was signed by you. You also singed the release form stating that we are not responsible for the following: Boxes that are PBO, Particle board items, pictures, marble (this would be the granite alter), glass, TV’[Member Information Removed] (the TV’[Member Information Removed] you claimed we broke.) As far as liability you chose the liability of 60 cents per pound per article that is free of charge. The rocking horse weighs no more than 10 pounds. The liability on the rock horse should have been $6 and we went over and above because we value our customers. Thank you, William"

As a Project Manger this is the kind of dilemma I often face and finding the right people for the job is not easy. But lucky us, we found Lawton Movers. Chris and his gang showed up on time and fully prepared for the job - metal ramps and all. Once I started to see them in action (working with our lead guy) I knew I could relax.
Everyone was courteous and professional and were confident in how to handle the job. They even stayed to help us place the equipment on it's stand and screw in the bolts. No need to hire another crew for that. When we discussed the job originally, Chris said we would need 6 crew and I agreed. But then he showed up with 8, just to be on the safe side - no extra cost either.
Yes, it cost some bucks and they had a three-hour minimum, but given the value of this equipment, this was not the time to go on the cheap and it was worth every penny. Knowing I can rely upon them in the future is a huge de-stressor. Thank you Lawton Movers, you guys are terrific!

"[member name removed], Sorry we did not meet your expectations. Please keep in mind that you only paid for the time that was used. When the crew took a break you were not charged .There are a lot of factors that need to be taken into account when moving . They moved into two different locations which will take the job longed to complete. Also take into account how far each of the apartments were to the entrance. If there was an elevator that needed to be used, did we have exclusive use of the elevators or did we have to share it with the residents. That will also take the job longer to complete. The numbers of hour that we quoted you over the phone was an estimated time only. Unfortunately we cannot take into account all of the factor for each job. Thank you, William William ."
Pros:
1) Setting up the appointment went quickly and smoothly.
2) Company had good direct communication.
3) Offered advice on how to orchestrate moving alongside multiple house closings.
Cons:
1) Multiple pieces were damaged.
- Maple dresser scraped along front
- - Front corner of armoire crushed
- Metal workbench warped
- Kitchen table incorrectly disassembled and not correctly reassembled resulting in a wobbly table that required repair
- Washer damaged
- 2 boxed glass vases broken
2) Damaged hardwood floor (5" gouge) because they refused to use a hand truck (actually they laughed at my hand truck suggestion right before they gouged my hardwoods). Then they were very proud to show me how well they masked the gouge with a portable repair kit. The gouge was no longer raw wood after the repair but there was still a deep cut in the floor.
3) Sold me on damage insurance during initial contract signing. After damaging my floor and furniture, the foreman told me the insurance Lawton sold wouldn't cover the damage. He further explained, the insurance does not apply to tight spaces and all my damage unfortunately took place in a tight space. The insurance felt like a scam at that point.
4) Boxes that were clearly labeled did not go to their intended rooms. For example, boxes that were marked "KITCHEN" in large bold contrasting marker were carried to the living room and some to the basement.
