Overall the experience with Delmonico Plumbing was excellent. I have an 250-year old house that has steam heat and had an oil-fired steam boiler with a hot water tank that was connected directly to the boiler. The boiler developed a crack in one of the internal sections and was leaking water. Heat in a few rooms on the second floor was practically non-existent. I had met with about 8 companies and had them review the job. Many of them never provided an estimate. There were three companies that had good proposals and each seemed to know what they were talking about. Steam heat is both an art and a science and you need someone who has a lot of experience with it. Anthony Delmonico and his crew were great and certainly knew their trade. From the day I met Anthony, he was impressive and had a lot of experience and I knew he could do the job well. The lead on the job, Angelo, was also excellent. The entire crew and the subs they used were courteous, neat and good workers and good people. The job took four days to complete just like Anthony said it would. This was very important since the work was being done in the middle of January and we would be without central heat until the boiler was finished. (we used electric space heaters in the meantime). Also as promised, Anthony Delmonico's crew had the new gas fired hot water heater fully operational at the end of the first day. The boiler works well and we are very satisfied with the work that was done. Clean, neat and on-time and they did what they said they would do!
