They put a, what should have been a brand new Lexus alternator, which was over $700 retail, plus I think they put in a new battery, which was probably a couple of hundred dollars plus labor and I think they charged me less than $200. It was more like $180 or $190. They were giving me basically the wholesale price on the alternator and not charging me labor. They're superb. I had been there for 25 years before. They're probably one of the highest rated places in Rhode Island. They did go through all sorts of hoops to try to fix my car. They gave me an alternator that was a vastly vastly discounted price compared to what retail would have been. They put in several different batteries, they put in several different alternators. A lot of times they didn't charge me. So I don't have anything against them. It's just that somehow they never were able to really figure out how to nail the whole situation. It was very frustrating to them, you could tell. For them, it was extremely complicated, to figure out what was going on. Part of it was that it had a legacy security system that we didn't know about, that was somehow interfering with the electrical system. The guy who runs the company actually came out to my house to look at the car because I couldn't get it started for the gazillionth time. He and a mechanic actually came out to my house to look at the car, to try to start it and figure out what was going on. He was the one who figured out that it had this weird thing that might be causing the electrical issue. Ultimately, I didn't leave because they were incompetent, I left because I would walk in and they would all just hang their heads like, "Oh no, not again. Please, not your car. You're kidding me. There is something wrong again." I couldn't keep doing that to them. They're a really solid shop, they're wonderful people. It's a kind of place where they know your name. People go there forever just like I had. They're not the cheapest place to go. I think they have good prices, but I don't think they probably have bargain prices. They're very professional. I'm not going to switch back to them but I would use them again.

Inspection and all work was done by noon.   However, the dashboard lit up like a Christmas Tree when I started it up to drive it home. Needless to say this caused me to turn off the car and go back into the shop.   Justin personally checked out the car and did not feel comfortable with me taking the car home because of this large display of dashboard icons.   He kept the car, had several other specialists look at it and even took it to a Toyota dealer to see if they could get the error lights cleared.  No luck. (I'm thinking I have to buy a new car....and who would buy a car that had all those warning lights on!?)  Justin did not give up on my car or me.  He took the car back to the dealer and they re-programmed something and made it work again!!!!   Justin saved me and my wallet.  I am and will always be a loyal D & M Tyre customer.  I have been referring hime to anyone that needs help with their vehicle.

For auto tires, I got them from Angie's List and I used D & M Tire And Automotive Service Center. Their services were excellent. They are all 'A's. They gave me a quote. They did exactly what they said they were going to do for exactly the same price that they said they were going to do. They were a little behind in timing but not too bad. They told me that it would take a couple of hours and it took 2 and a half hour so that is not so bad. They are pleasant. They communicated well. They gave me back the car and it was clean and it was neat. Everything was stars, everything was good.

Planned work was done on the first day.  D&M responded quickly on the added work, but parts were not available until the next day. 
D&M completed the work on day 2.  D&M was very responsive and professional throughout this entire repair cycle.  The price seemed high at first, but after seeing the completeness of the inspection and scope of all work, it is more than reasonable, and less costly than where I used to get my car maintenance done.  Thanks, D&M, I'll be back!

Great! They have kids play area and that helped passing the time quicker and delivered the car before their promised time.

Needed to replace tires on a boat trailer.  Other places couldn't do the work without using their lift.  D & M said no problem. Used a floor jack in the alley adjacent to their building.

Wonderful.  Price quote was competitive but not the cheapest but I am positive that they wound up being the lease expensive.  No upchages, no BS.  Final cost was exactly as quoted.
I cant wait to give them a shot at a break job.

D&M had worked successfully on my clutch last year, so when I started to have additional issues with it, I didn't hesitate to take it back to them. My clutch was now slipping under acceleration, and the friction point was way to high on the pedal, so I wasn't sure if it needed an adjustment or something more. After inspecting it, I was told that the master cylinder was shot, and the slave cylinder was leaking. This left 2 options: replace both the master and slave cylinders, and, if the clutch still slipped, replace the clutch. The estimate was from $285 up to $950, so I elected to have the cylinders replaced and see if that made the necessary improvements. Thankfully, it just needed the cylinders, and has worked fine since.

Was SO afraid it would include all the other connecting pipes etc., but they were so WONDERFUL as always!!! Came in very late on Friday just before they were closeing - did ask me to come back 1st thing Saturday morning - which I did. They took me right in -and fixed it! The are the VERY BEST! Always trustworthy!! And reasonable! Want to recommend them again for a PAGE of HAPPINESS!!!

I needed to get my Honda Ridgeline worked on prior to a 1,200 mile trip in December.  Found D&M on Angies list and gave them a call.   Justing went above and beyond to get me safely on the road....he even called to see how things were going ( during my trip).  I've never received a call from the Honda Dealers after a repair...this impressed me.  The facility is further away from my house than I would like, but the service and price is worth the drive.  My experience with Justin and the mechanics at D&M has made me a loyal customer.  Thanks again.
