I used Affordable Painting to do the exterior of my father's house. Bill, the owner, did such a great job on the exterior, I asked him for an estimate to paint the interior of the house. Bill knew that I was on a strict budget and timeline. He quickly came out, assessed the job, and provided me with an estimate within a couple of days.
The interior walls/ceiling needed a lot of work. Bill's estimate covered all the repair work, sanding, and painting. The estimate was very fair and provided a discount if I agreed to do the whole interior. It was well worth it.
Bill did a fantastic job. The house looks brand new!

Bill was great to work with. I needed to have my father's home painted in a short period of time. I called Bill and he was able to go by the house within a day or two. He provided me with a very detailed and reasonable estimate. I offered him the job and he started as soon as the weather allowed. He communicated with me every step of the way and did a great job. I will definitely call Bill when it is time to paint my own home!

In the past I have painted my own house, but now because of a age and back issue I decided to hire some one. I received 3 written estimates, All in a timely manner. Selected Affordable because of their Angie's List reviews. I was very impressed with their work, communications with me, cleanliness, attention to detail and particularly the prep work. There was more scrapping than I had anticipated. They began when they said they would, allowed the house to dry for a few days prior to scraping and painting and my wife is very happy with their word so now I am.
I would definitely recommend them. Bill McGirr said if I found any issues to call him and he would come back.This is my first experience with Angie's List and I'm pleasantly surprised at the outcome.

McGirr's work was exceptionally good, and he saved us money on materials by passing along his discounts. He cleaned up after himself and was protective of our plantings. It worked out very very good because we didn’t have to deal with moisture and wood. His company is small. They have only 1 or 2 people with them. It is not a big company. My neighbor’s house is 5 year’s old and it looks like brand new just as mine is. When we deal with a big company, everything can be done in black and white. When we deal with a little guy, he will do extra things. He had a good attitude. He did extra things like basement windows. I did pay him for that, but the big guys wouldn’t do that. He lives close by. Once or twice he left to take to his kids to soccer practice, but that is not a big deal. He came when he said he would come.
