+ 0 moreThe project went very well, and now looks beautiful. Plaster is truly and art form, and Joe Lameiro knows his art. When given the green light for the job, look out and be ready! Joe will go gangbusters the minute he starts. My advice would be not to cheap out by hiring an unprofessional painter. I knew better, but instead hired moonlighters to paint. A good painter and a good plasterer make an amazing team to make your walls and ceilings beautiful. Joe cleaned up well when the work was done, and was responsive to my concerns.
Description of Work: In combination with other renovation work (for separate fee) this job entailed crack repair and skim coating of 120 year old horse hair plaster, and new gypsum board ceilings with skim coat of plaster. The walls were in bad condition prior to work. Ceilings had been removed, or were to be covered over with new gypsum board. The house is 8 rooms and a stairwell, totaling approx. 1100sf.

+ -1 moreJoe / his team were fast, organized, detail concious and overall a joy to have on board. I will now have him do large amounts of plastering on the house to which is his true specialty. I was impressed that not only did he do the work efficiently, but also with intelligence and proper standards. If he found something existing he did not think was sound, he would discuss implications with me and remedy. I have large amounts of exposed woodwork in the house and he was respectful of taking care. Joe has finally been the one to make my project feel like it is moving along, and going to be a great house.
Description of Work: House is built in 1890 and in need of updates. Joe Lameiro removed old basement windows in stone foundation and installed new secure windows, built deck and exit stair in Trex, sistered up weak structure at floor joists, replaced a kitchen window and sill, and other selective demolition and repair.
