Finishing Edge Inc

In June of 2020, we signed a contract with Finishing Edge and gave them a 20% deposit. Unfortunately, the contract did not include a start date, and we felt ignored once they received the deposit. They rarely responded to emails or phone calls over the next 16 months, and frankly we were surprised to find them still in business when we visited their shop in search of a refund. When we requested a refund due to their inaction, they retained 25% of the deposit as a “design fee” for a sidewalk. Since they never got around to doing any work for us, we can't comment on their quality. However, we found their customer service to be essentially nonexistent. Despite the pandemic, simply returning phone calls or emails doesn't seem to be too much to ask. Do not give them a deposit unless you have a guaranteed start date or retain some other leverage. In our experience, they are happy to take your deposit and reluctant to do any work.

Finishing Edge did a fantastic job on our patio. They all were professional. They gave us exactly want we wanted. We are very happy with our new patio.

I'd highly recommend Finishing Edge, this was the best project experience I've had! We did run into some problems, finding water damage around roof line and fireplace, which they worked with me to fix and keep the project on schedule. Every person involved, from the contractor, to the concrete crew and the landscapers, were personable and accommodating to make sure I was happy with the finished project. I cannot thank them enough for the professional and beautiful project!

Dealt with Lauren in the early stages. She was very professional and attentative. Then came day 1 of the project. I was informed the risers will now be reduced (not sure why this wasn't projected in the early on), but not a big deal. I was concerned about the excess topsoil from the excavation. Lauren informed me that her guys were going to haul it away before they leave for the day. Unbeknownst to me, the guys had knocked off (1/2 day) without knocking on my door to inform me. Needless to say, I lost my window of opp. for the topsoil to be hauled away (after having a conv. with Lauren later that night).
After the project was completed, I noticed that an excess amount of dirt was left throughout the patio (not sure if these spots lacked sealer?), which had only appeared after the first rainfall. Contacted Lauren. Mentions that the sealer and quot;popped' from the surface. She sent her service guys to fix the problem. Job was completed....only for it to appear again after another rainfall. Lauren, again, sent the guys over for a service call. Same problem afterwards. Contacted both Lauren and the owner, Jason. No response.

Overall it Went well and I would recommend Finishing Edge for stamped concrete work
Finishing edge was not the lowest bid for my project but they had the most Pool Deck experience which was Important to me.
Took a little over 2 weeks to complete (They did not work everyday- Scheduling of crews and weather was a factor)
I was forewarned by Jason (Owner) that it would be very messy and it was.
All of his workers were very knowledgeable and took care in trying to keep the pool and house as clean as possible.
All of my concerns and changes were taken care of in a timely manner
My biggest concern was the integrity of the pool during the demolition and construction; and Finishing Edges experience with pools put my mind at ease.
What could have made the experience easier:
Finishing edge should have a showroom. (must pick designs and colors from pictures- Difficult)

They came out a couple of months ago and they actually just finished about three weeks ago because it was a big project. At the end of the day, the patio looks nice. There was a couple of speed bumps along the way that they took care of that delayed the project. They ultimately took care of everything and the end result was very nice. They put a fire pit in and there were some issues with the permit between them and the township that they had to go back and forth that delayed things a couple of weeks. But ultimately, everything worked out okay. They were nice people to work with. They did everything that they said they would do and they never went back on their word on any of the small things that you usually do not think about before you start these jobs.

Overall we were very pleased with the job that was completed.  There were a few delays here and there but that is to be expected.  the quality of the concrete work was fabulous.  They were willing to go above and beyond.  I highly recommend Jason and his team if you want a quality end result.  We are very happy.

The experience was excellent and the finished product looks absolutely fantastic. The crew was great to work with and got the job finished on schedule.

The Finishing Edge crews did a fantastic job. They started the job on a Wednesday and worked everyday till it was finished. The job took only 6 days to complete. They removed my existing deck, hot tub and shrubs and replaced it with a beautiful concrete patio. With the deck removed we added steps to the back door and also steps to the dining room. They were the best price by far for the work performed. The patio concrete was colored, stamped, textured and sealed and looks fantastic. They do small things that really make a difference. For instance, they use a mold on the edge of steps that gives them a rough natural feel.
They are very flexible with slight modifications to the design and are willing to make things right. We had a small wall put in and the original layout was to short. They added another 18 inches and it looks just right. Each crew was friendly and professional. Jason and Vern did a great job designing and managing the project.
Very pleased...Only problem is that I have to get new patio furniture because the old stuff just isn't up to par with the quality of the patio now.

This company is extremely professional and we are very happy with their work and overall professionalism. Would definitely recommend them to our neighbors and will use them again should the opportunity arise.

I called The Finishing Edge after seeing examples of their stamped concrete patios on their website. Their work is excellent- very tasteful and functional. I called them and they came out and did an estimate and design. It took a couple of visit to get the final design hammered out- the owner jason came out once and his designer came several times to finalize the blueprints/design. We tried to get the project done by summer but the start date kept getting pushed back. I did get frustrated that they didn't keep me up to date about when work would start since I wanted the patio done to use by summer (we started the process in late April/early May). We were told a late July start date which ended up becoming mid to late August when the work actually started. They do know what they are doing and I'm very pleased with the outcome. I do think we overpaid and probably could have gotten the project done for less money but I would rather overpay and be pleased with the result than save a couple thousand for an end result that is just average.

They were prompt and cleaned up after themselves. They also helped move various items in the basement including a washer and dryer from one side to the other. Very little odor from this product. Pricey but worth it.

They were excellent. They did a fantastic job there. The customer service, the response, and the time they got it done were all excellent, but they are pricey.

Jason Decker provided several designs into which we had significant input. He then worked with our other subcontractors to make certain that fencing and landscaping coordinated with the overall plan.

On the appointed day, the old decking was removed, and the area excavated. A day later, the concrete trucks came with about 6 guys to pour and create the patio. Staining, finishing, and creating stress cracks were done professionally and completely.

Jason has been a resource for the landscaping which I as the homeowner completed, and he was extremely fair in his charges for the work performed. There is no doubt that he stands at the top of the list of people whom I would recommend.

Jason had a crew for each phase; he met the construction deadlines, and he is an absolute pleasure to work with - he listened to our needs, adjusted the price to meet our budget, supervised the project, and made certain that we were satisfied.

Went very well. Jason and company did a nice job. He fit the quote to our price range and preferences, and quoted the grading of the lot last minute and pulled it off in one day. Very happy with the results. There was some damage to the siding that was not there before the work started, and they replaced it a couple days after I mentioned it to them. Very good service and a nice company to work with. They have done work for most of the homes in this neighborhood and were highly recommended to us. No regrets.
